I still have no idea what Bungie is trying to achieve. From my perspective, it looks less like game development and more like a petty power struggle with the player base. The management seems completely out of touch with their own game, avoids genuine communication with the community, and instead indulges in pointless squabbles and even wrongful bans. In any other title, this would have already led to a shutdown—or at the very least, rapid course correction driven by feedback. Yet Bungie continues down this same disastrous path, showcasing nothing but incompetence at the highest level. To my untrained eye, it feels as if their attitude is: “You still haven’t quit? Fine. Let’s see who caves first, you fools.” And that, frankly, is the only conclusion I can draw.
