Tristram "Tris" Weberg passed suddenly on October 10th. He was 59. He was a pipe fitter and a steward of 300 acres on the Burnt River in Alberta, living within 10 miles of where he was born. He loved his cats, he kept his word, and he grieved his late wife the whole way through. Tris congratulated me the day before my wedding when I was 302 days sober. He told me a buddy check I posted helped him when a friend went quiet. On Christmas Eve he told me "keep my word rock solid, in the end we win." When a vet was struggling, he came to me to help. On my two years sober he called me "magnificent" and said he was proud of me. He never missed a birthday, and he reposted me more than anyone. The last time I checked on him he said "some struggles but steady as it goes.. sending good vibes to you & yours." That was Tris. Steel sharpens steel, brother. Hold the cross high.
