I remember a time when I legit thought that @NFL officials actively took sides and made really corrupt calls. Now I realize that a lot of them are just really bad at their job. It just happened to have gotten a whole lot worse since Roger Goodell became commissioner.

So I got a new computer and now I longer have access to my GitHub or my LinkedIn. Don't care as much about LinkedIn... but GitHub says my password alone is no longer good enough. Mind you, I never had 2FA activated, so I have no idea what it actually wants! I just don't have GitHub anymore.

I got food poisoning... spent the last 24+ hours existing between the bed and the toilet. Finally able to leave the room and travel to the store to get some hydration and sustenance! And thankfully, finally able to actually hold some stuff down. What a day!

I've been experimenting with a lot of open source LLMs (that fit on a 24GB graphics card)... by far, Qwen 3.8 27B is the best. And second isn't even close.

Running a 27b parameter LLM completely local is pretty satisfying. It's a little slow, but it's mine. And it is secure. It was a pretty good amount of money, but so far (after just a day), I'm calling it worth it.
