Crazy thing is, I’m very grounded and levelheaded. Not much can make me raise up, but it’s something about letting someone close to me and seeing that they don’t cherish that alone, that gets under my skin. I don’t let just anybody into my life, so no, I don’t take it lightly.

Love is ethical, before it is emotional. I think about this statement a lot. It is your responsibility that you make sure you do not exploit those who love you. Love is a powerful force, and if in good conscience you value those who love you, you will protect them from themselves

not enough people talk about the burnout that comes from constantly dealing with unhealed adults. always being the bigger person. always managing their triggers while suppressing your own. always explaining basic respect and accountability to people stuck in survival mode. that kind of exhaustion is soul tiring. protect your peace before you lose yourself carrying what other people refuse to heal within themselves.
