The Daily Program Engaging with AI is not an act of surrender; it is a way of reclaiming the right to question these technologies from within. If artists withdraw, the conversation will be left to engineers, corporations, and policymakers alone. Art’s power lies in its ability to slow things down, to transform utility into reflection. That capacity is urgently needed today. What is required is not more efficient art, but art that disrupts efficiency. Art that tests the limits of what AI claims to know. Art that resists being reduced to output. In doing so, artists can help us perceive this technological landscape not as inevitable, but as something still open to critique, intervention, and reinvention. Today, we launch the February Daily Program. For three years straight, we've opened up our space to let artists show their ideas about these tools; what they can and can't do, how they break them, how new stories can be narrated, and to ask questions as to why these images matter today.
