Theranos staged demonstrations to fool investors into believing its technology worked. 👀 Investors were pricked for blood, but they never saw the actual testing. Once they left, engineers took the cartridges to scientists who performed the analysis manually. The Edison machine, supposedly the heart of the technology, wasn’t doing the job it was advertised to do. Yet Elizabeth Holmes and Sunny Balwani used fabricated documents and false claims about FDA validation, pharmaceutical partnerships, and military use to help Theranos raise nearly $900 million. The most disturbing part? The deception kept escalating, with Holmes making extraordinary claims about medical breakthroughs that the technology had not demonstrated. Investors thought they were funding a revolution in blood testing. In reality, they were buying into a carefully staged illusion.

I have watched this trailer a million times but the part that cracks me up each time: “But what did she have to gain from me?” “Well, isn’t your family rich?” “Yeah, I think there’s like a lot of different levels of wealth”

Maybe we shouldn't give tax cuts to the wealthiest people in history while we're $40 trillion in debt.

With the recent release of Nathan Fielder's documentary "You Can See Everything," Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos are back in the spotlight. Here's what was publicly understood about Holmes and the downfall of her company leading up to the film's release. #ElizabethHolmes #Theranos #YouCanSeeEverything #Documentary

Gangs are a product of poverty and abuse in state care caused by previous governments. It’s completely appropriate to liaison with them to stop the cycle. Yes they committed crime BUT so did cops. NZ Police was run by a pedo who watched CSAM all day and blackmailed a staffer.

Until 1979, Sweden classified homosexuality as a mental illness. That year, activists took the classification as an illness to its logical extent - Swedes called in too gay to go to work.

BREAKING 🚨 | Barclays have announced bumper Q3 pre-tax profits of £2.3 BILLION. That's an increase of 12% on the year. Time to raise taxes on banks to bring down energy bills.

I will never be deterred from speaking out against Palantir, which should have no place in our public services whatsoever. Kick Palantir out!

Very interesting timing, given Amnesty International just yesterday released a new, extensive report showing how Palestine solidarity and activism is being severely suppressed in universities.
