New: We found cops who kept using Flock to spy on women after they left the force.
One used it for five years after retirement, spying on his wife during a custody battle.
Another ran searches while he was suspended (and later fired) after killing a 15-year-old boy.

Actually cannot believe what I've read here.
The police shooting that killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley as he sat in his mother’s lap in a Walmart parking lot in Senatobia in June “was justified,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office says.

Seems relevant to me that the new White House press secretary, who the public is supposed to rely on for accurate information, believes that elites in the Democratic Party and Hollywood are sexually trafficking kids and eating people.
We published this 24 hours ago and it hasn’t made it into mainstream coverage of Zacharia yet.

The notion that mass warrantless ALPR surveillance is fine because “ALPRs can see only a fraction of the roads in a given jurisdiction,” should not fool anybody.
Nobody who opposes this kind of mass surveillance is concerned about the percentage of pure roads ALPRs photograph.
Our concern is rather that roads are integrated and indispensable travel networks. So if cameras capture a person at points A, B, C, ad infinitum, the government can learn a lot more about him than the mere fact that he was on a few isolated patches of road at a few isolated point in time.
That is not an incidental feature of these ALPR systems—it is an essential part of how the major players pitch their own products to the government: Hey look, we can create maps of where drivers have been! We can find out who drivers associate with! We can learn where they commonly visit!
It’s hard to take seriously a defense of mass warrantless ALPR surveillance that won’t even acknowledge what the cameras are designed to do in the real world.
Today in @PostOpinions, @Rafa_Mangual and I lay out the case for keeping the ALPRs up.
Flock cameras are a useful tool for saving lives. Legitimate concerns should be addressed through regulation—not bans.
