Hi folks! I'm looking for my next tech role and would really appreciate help spreading the word. I have 10+ YoE and am open to Senior/Staff/Principal, Tech Lead, and Engineering Manager roles. An intro or RT would mean a lot. ❤️ #OpenToWork
[ Rust, C#, Python, JS, AI, Infosec ]
I’m BACKKKKKKKKKKK
kidding, accidentally pressed the wrong icon forgetting I even had Twitter, X what ever it’s called 😘
Sucks that if you get a @kilohearts subscription your are lured in with "getting $100 credit per year". Then comes black Friday they give $100 off but you can't use the credit you've accumulated. So I've already spent $140 and get exactly same discount as someone that hasn't 😭
I just got a free month for @Telegraph , don’t normally bother with the news and a week in I remember why!! Readers can also comment on articles, most of the comments are by the uk version of truth social members 😢 Glad it was free, won’t be doing that again!
Been having a play with Rust 🦀 and made this Spectrum Analyser audio plugin (not fully finished!). github.com/Cmdv/nih_plug_spe…
Quite different to Haskell but still cool you can make VST/CLAP plugins. Had to learn a bunch of DSP concepts, Nih_plug, Iced and Rust but it's doable 😅

Cuckoo Fibre today made all of their Front End Developers redundant so I am looking for a new role. If you hear of any opportunities or just want to catch up, please send me a message.
About me & what I’m looking for:
💼 Principal Frontend Developer with 24 years experience building for the web.
💅 A Senior Designer before switching fully to Front End Development in 2011.
🌎 Open to hybrid roles in Leeds.
⭐ Previously worked at Sky Sports, Sky Bet, William Hill, and others.
👔 Contract and Freelance experience working for The Premier League, Betfair, and Shell.
😄 Pretty friendly guy
#WebDevelopment #FrontEnd
Very unlikely but imagine if this was possible stackoverflow.com/questions/… #Haskell

Sorry for sounding elitist, but all the best software engineers I come across end up gravitating towards FP. It often takes them years as a gradual process, but FP solves many problems that OOP struggles with. I wish FP people would stop with the math and category theory though.
This happen to anyone else?

🤷♀️ There's 30 mins of my life I won't get back
I find it fascinating the amount of content available on complex subjects in Haskell.
Yet when looking for good/basic architectural design patterns for production apps there are so few. 😢
This is good resource, though slightly bias towards the creators beliefs github.com/graninas/software…
Waited an hour for logs from my db to generate, then immediately pressed up a couple of time to go through history in my terminal and deleted them instead of running pgbadger against them 🙈🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️🙈🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️🙈🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️
FML see you in an hour
Got a rather big app in Haskell that I’m trying to profile it’s memory usage. Have a high feeling this is going to be painful!!! Any good blog posts / tutorial recommendations?
Here are my observations from the past year:
Blockchains are slow
like/share/subscribe/click the button/doit
Don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed learning ML and think some of its uses are great. But I don’t need to see AI in everything especially when it’s just an algorithm not actual ML or LLM etc 🤷
