Yeah I actually do think people should have taken down fics if they know the author said no. (No is a no, and that should have been respected) But I also disagree that people did anything morally or ethically wrong when they originally shared fics thru drives with other people.

this current fic discourse is so redundant in my eyes. as a writer, we know our work has 100% chance of being archived as soon as it's published. and as a reader, you should respect the author enough to take it down when they ask you to. seems like common sense but apparently not
