Bulag na nga, gumagawa pa ng kwento. Since Day 1, his fans, both solids and shippers, have been clear and united in our position. Our concern is the inappropriate behavior itself and the need to hold people accountable for the sexualization and objectification that happened. Stop making up stories about our intentions and turning this against us simply because we’re speaking up about something that shouldn’t be normalized.
Why would we want to cancel someone when we know they may remain friends after this? Calling out inappropriate behavior is not the same as wanting someone cancelled. Stop twisting our call for accountability into something it has never been.

In the spirit of Christmas, pwede kayang magsama-sama na lang sa isang section ang lahat ng solids at bula? Then mag-cheer kayo all together for each of them. 🤔 Just a thought.

If Vice doesn’t speak up about this and hold herself and her show accountable, I will always question the sincerity of any issues she chooses to address in the future, whether political or social. At this point, it would be hard not to see them as performative.

Donny and Belle are too kind that people are taking advantage of it. Their so-called friends, colleagues and the very network they helped sustain during the pandemic seem to have forgotten it. They deserve the same respect and kindness they’ve given others.

We strongly condemn the sexualization of any individual. We express our disappointment over the recent issue involving Showtime Baby Doll’s Juby and Donny Pangilinan, particularly the sexualized nature of the public discussion surrounding him.
Being a public figure does not justify compromising one’s dignity and personal boundaries. We call for greater sensitivity and respect when discussing others.
We stand with Donny. Respect is non-negotiable.
RESPECT DONNY PANGILINAN

Sexualizing someone on national tv is already disturbing, and asking a follow-up question that further engages the disclosure makes it even more inappropriate, disgusting, and disrespectful. This isn’t just fans reacting out of protectiveness. Others are calling it out, too, because it is wrong on every level. Being a celebrity doesn’t make anyone fair game for sexual comments and objectification. If it was wrong when it happened to Anne or any other woman, it should be just as wrong now that it has happened to Donny, or to any man for that matter. Respect and accountability should never be selective.

and the fact that donny is in a relationship!
i’m sorry but i can’t shake this off. the more i think about it, the weirder it gets. imagine being a female celebrity and finding out that a man went on national tv to talk about dreaming of having sex w you, getting into the details, being asked if he finished, and having the entire thing played for laughs. would we really be this casual about it? ano, kase it’s not that serious? kj ko naman? oa ko?
and before anyone says it was just a dream, obviously people don’t choose what they dream about. that’s not the point. having a dream and choosing to make its intimate details about a real person public entertainment are two separate things. the fact that it was treated as a funny little anecdote instead of something worth questioning is what makes it uncomfortable.
i’m not a prude, and i’m not particularly interested in defending men for the sake of defending men, but basic respect shouldn’t depend on someone’s gender. yuck. so disappointing.

Disappointed din kay VG. Didn’t she call out Bong Suntay just earlier this year for sexualizing Anne? But yes, let’s just laugh it off when it’s Donny, who’s also her friend, because apparently, it’s okay when it’s a man.

Saw a clip and it gave me the ick. Having a sexual dream about someone is one thing. Publicly turning that person into the subject of your sexual fantasies for entertainment on national tv is another. A dream might be involuntary, but choosing to broadcast its intimate details is a different matter entirely. Men can be objectified, too! Imagine if a man went on national tv and publicly described a sexual dream about a female celebrity in this much detail. Would people find it funny or would they call it inappropriate? And why are we normalizing and tolerating this kind of behavior? We need to stop acting like this is okay just because it's a joke or a dream.

As for Belle, please keep her out of your narratives. She is beautiful, talented, and most importantly, has a great heart. Nothing you say or do will change that.
