we're all anti-ai but in software it's just a new abstraction layer and not subject to these ethical gymnastics like ai art is.
sth that genuinely makes me sad is the fact that there's levels of academic wizardry that you will never be able to achieve, simply by virtue of receiving 20 years of education in a third world country.
like there's no way of knowing what you're missing out on until much later.
spend time trying to cover some of the gaps but you'll never have your formative years back.
an example: I love engineering and stem so much but my maths is weak because the primary school I attended had us singing the times table like a song instead of teaching something like
mine was in high school english class. a word would come up and the teacher would mention names, asking for the definition. I couldn't wait for it to be my turn so i could stunt on niggas!
it got to a point whenever a new word came up the class just mentions my name.
