Kano Governorship: INEC Omitted My Name And My Running Mate’s From Candidates’ List Without Explanation — Gwarzo INEC released the list of governorship candidates on October 10, but neither my name nor that of my running mate was included. We were given no explanation, despite our belief that we had fully complied with all requirements. On October 27, the Federal High Court ordered INEC not to publish our names. However, my question is why our names were omitted in the first place, before the court order was issued, and why we were not informed if an injunction had been filed. There appears to be an understanding behind the scenes between INEC and people with other interests. H.E Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo NDC Governorship Candidate, Kano State x.com/ARISEtv/status…

His Excellency, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE, the NDC Vice Presidential Candidate, on Sunday, 1st November 2026, warmly received members of the Kwankwasiyya Youth Assembly during a special courtesy visit to his residence on Miller Road, Kano.

The door of the Holy Kaaba was opened tonight to grant President Bola Tinubu the rare privilege of entering the sacred inner chamber of the Kaaba, where he offered special prayers for Nigeria and her people. An extraordinary religious honour and a deeply spiritual moment for the President and the nation. Masha Allah!

“We are fully aware of all the efforts being made to persuade INEC to disqualify our governorship candidate in Kano State but they have forgotten that history is about to repeat itself.” — Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, The reason I am saying this is that Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, had made a political mistake in the past and I believe he has now realised it. That explains why you have seen him travelling back and forth, day and night, practically relocating to Abuja. His objective was to ensure that INEC would declare a situation in which there would be no NDC governorship candidate in Kano State. However, the pressure and mounting against INEC became too overwhelming and eventually, INEC could no longer withstand the heat and had to surrender. Now, what is happening? We are currently in court because they has instituted a legal action aiming to ensure that there would be no NDC governorship candidate in Kano State. They operated behind the scenes, reportedly leaving in the backforth approach a court in Kano State and file a case against INEC and the NDC, apparently hoping to secure a court order without our knowledge or opportunity to respond. But from the very beginning, we knew their plans andour candidate had no outstanding issues concerning his eligibility, age, academic qualifications, certificates or any aspect of the official recognition process that could prevent his participation in the election.

Away from my other national party assignments, and in concluding my engagements in Kano, I hosted our vibrant young people under the umbrella of the Kwankwasiyya Youths Assembly (KYA). I welcomed and commended our teeming youth for remaining the major strength of our movement and for their steadfast commitment to spreading our message of change across the country. I also issued a clear word of caution to those elements in Kano who are bent on frustrating the candidature of our NDC candidate, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, through frivolous orders and underhand deals. As we prepare to face them at the ballots, the ruling party should equally prepare to face the true verdict of its performance at the polls. - RMK

Kano APC has run into confusion. 😂 Kwankwaso's warm greetings to the defected Local Government Chairmen, who stood with him during the 2023 elections, have seemingly unsettled the political calculations. At this rate, all the resources and energy being invested in APC Kano may end up as surplus contributions to Kwankwaso's 2027 campaign machinery. 😂

INEC tempted kano people by removing the name of their governorship candidate. They just wrote letter. After letter whatever follows, INEC will explain. Omo, the reinstated the name. No drama

Dear @OfficialDSSNG @PoliceNG this is another enemy of Nigeria sighted. Pastor Jemimah David is taking advantage of the church to preach violence. This is truly a threat to the security of Nigeria. We're tired, we want to live in peace. Do the needful please.. – at Abeokuta, Nigeria
This is dangerous and unacceptable! A church is a place of worship, not a platform for promoting violence. We demand that the @PoliceNG immediately identify and investigate this woman and take appropriate legal action if she has broken the law. Nobody is above the law!

Not even Kwankwaso, despite everything he endured and the enormous sacrifices he made to ensure Abba Kabir Yusuf emerged as Governor of Kano State, could have imagined this level of political ingratitude. From the very beginning of Abba's governorship nomination to his eventual emergence as Governor, Kwankwaso stood firmly behind him, overcoming political obstacles, enduring fierce opposition and mobilising the support that made his victory possible. But today, Abba appears to be treating the very people who stood by him as enemies.May every political ambition built on betrayal remain unfulfilled Good riddance to bad rubbish. 2027, we mount again. We will take the Kwankwasiyya mandate back to the Government House. Akori butulun maci amana,
