A case report details a rare presentation of hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state (HHS), a complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus marked by hyperglycemia without acidosis, complicated by bilateral occipital lobe seizures. This case highlights the importance of both recognizing seizures in HHS and the need to consider alternative diabetes diagnoses for patients with atypical diabetic phenotypes. bit.ly/4teXwP6 @AHAScience #AHAJournals
