It’s great that the South Asian community gets the opportunity to showcase their culture and celebration with our club, and I love the festivities. My gripe is that it would be nice to see some recognition extended to other cultures and communities too, rather than declining them

My original tweet was out of frustration from these past experiences with the club, not in any way negatively aimed at South Asians or Diwali. We don’t have any Irish nationals now, so if they refused to celebrate the culture back when we had four, what chance do we have now🤷🏼‍♀️
