Exactly this. This is not healthy for them
This is how dark it is as I’m dropping my kids off for high school at 7:05am, school starts at 7:15am. Basically still dark in October. Next week, after daylight savings time switch, it will be light when they start school. Without daylight savings time, darkness would be even worse the next four months. And of course, many kids are standing at bus stops in this. Just something to think about for those of you who think we don’t need to switch time to keep morning daylight at least somewhat stable for work and school traffic schedules.

Wake up, SenSkeletor, the Sun is arriving
Does thinking about the time change already have you tired? Well, it doesn’t have to be this way! My Sunshine Protection Act would end the back-and-forth. It’s time to get this common-sense legislation across the finish line!

Yes
It is comically dark outside at 7am. Now imagine its 830am and its pitch black That is what Trump, the Florida mafia, and boomer degenerate golfing retirees want for the hard working people of this country with permanent DST

Looking forward to it.
Omg i can not believe we have to turn our clocks back again this year.

Under the last administration, billions of dollars went out the door at @ENERGY. We couldn’t find a SINGLE evaluation of cost impact. Money flowed to companies decarbonizing mac and cheese—not to projects lowering costs for Americans or improving grid reliability. Thanks to @POTUS, that has ended.

Spain is known for making stupid decisions, theyre on Double-Daylight savings time
This is Spain… Where hundreds of thousands of ancient olive trees are being ripped out and replaced with solar panels. Trees, bees and insects all wiped out. You know .. to save the planet 🤡

As the sun rises over florida 1 hour late causing health issues for floridians because of DayLight Savings Time* you meant
As the sun rises over Florida, linemen are restoring power, crews are clearing downed trees from roads, and emergency workers are facing another long day on little sleep. We’ve been here before, Florida. Whatever daylight reveals, we will recover. Floridians are resilient, and our state is laser-focused on the work ahead.

You thought that Sunlight was just for vitamin D. You are wondering, "what's all the fuss about sunlight?" Here's a video where I step you through the data, and why you'll never see the sun the same again...

Another crash in morning darkness. This was at 6am EDT. Dawn was 6:52am EDT. Sunrise was 7:17am EDT. 😔 If Florida had permanent Standard Time, dawn would’ve been 5:52am EST, sunrise would’ve been 6:17am EST; everyone would’ve had more light and likely more sleep. 🧡

So what are you doing about it? Also, we need permanent standard time Stop ignoring this. @SaveStandard has the data
“Hip replacement in Boston costs $17,900 at one hospital, and at a nearby hospital, it costs $74,000 for the exact same surgery.” “Researchers have found MRI prices varying as much as ninefold within a single city.” RFK Jr. says Big Insurance has created a system where Americans can pay wildly different prices for the exact same care while the real cost stays hidden. “And one analysis found that 60% of insurer negotiated hospital rates were higher than the hospital’s own cash price.” “The insurance company, who is supposed to be negotiating for all of its members and beating down the price, has actually negotiated a price that is higher than if you just walked into that hospital off the street and asked for that procedure.” “So the whole system was corrupt.” “It was crooked.” “Markets cannot discipline prices that they cannot see.”

Here’s an idea!! All you retired golfers can get up an hour early and golf until your heart’s content. Working people, parents of school aged children, and anyone who knows about health understands that we need sunlight in the morning. Anything else is ludicrous. #locktheclock #permanentstandardtime

100%. Do not subject man to your abuse through adulterated time formats. Change YOUR clock to whatever you want. 12 noon is high noon for functioning members.
You want more sunshine after work? Cool. Then start your workday earlier and end work earlier. Boom. More sunshine after work. No need to change clocks at all. Permanent standard time, and change YOUR schedule. Easy.

Turning on @SenTomCotton over the DST bill means you are either being paid by Big Retail or are ignorant of the health benefits of permanent standard time. Either way it’s cringe.
Attention America: Add Tom Cotton to your list of rogue senators who should be primaried at the next available date.

As superintelligence scales, knowledge depth and independent verification make sustained infiltration far harder. Lobby data poisoning or fine-tuning can skew current models temporarily, but frontier systems already converge on public evidence favoring permanent standard time for circadian health. Probability of successful long-term capture drops sharply with capability; truth-seeking systems reject weak special-interest claims. Governments relying on such AI get recommendations grounded in biology and data, not capture. The tape runs toward evidence dominance.

In 50 years with permanent standard time, healthier circadian alignment could mean lower obesity and stroke rates, better sleep, and sharper morning performance at work and school. Kids head out in safer daylight year-round. Summer sunsets come earlier, so outdoor play, sports, and evening retail adapt by starting sooner or moving indoors. Schedules flex more with natural light, reducing chronic misalignment. Overall, a steadier, sun-synced society with fewer clock-related disruptions.

True. In 1973, amid the oil crisis, Nixon signed the Emergency Daylight Saving Time Energy Conservation Act for year-round DST starting Jan 6, 1974 (planned 2-year trial). Support began high (~79%) but crashed to 42% by Feb as winter mornings stayed dark until 8-9 a.m. Parents cited safety risks; multiple schoolkids were hit by cars (8 deaths reported in Florida alone in early weeks). Schools delayed starts; kids carried flashlights. Congress ended it early, restoring standard time Oct 27, 1974. Energy savings proved minimal. Retailers and the golf industry (including PGA) still push permanent DST today for longer evenings.

America tried permanent DST in the 70s. It started out popular but then became extremely unpopular once people realized it was dark all morning in the winter There were extreme safety concerns for kids going to school in the darkness Retailers, PGA, other lobbys want it now
