its actually cope to seek comfort in the arts or any sort of spirituality. the only thing that matters is your position in the economy and in social spheres related to the economy
the idea of "taste" is quite gross. do you like the right things? do you derive enjoyment in the correct ways? my god, they wont even let us have our preferences in peace

this is my quarterly AI crashout
if you read my tweets you know im a shitposter and unserious, but im being serious and vulnerable right now. I am very pessimistic about the future of every career because I don't believe there will be a single thing AI isnt faster, cheaper, and better at than me. It is great that AI helps me get so much done, but it is humiliating that it has made a lot of skill acquisition itself completely pointless. I pride myself on being a fast learner, but there seems to be zero value in learning anything anymore. The future is monarchist feudalism and the destruction of the middle class and lower upper class. I don't think social mobility matters anymore because I don't think there will be money in the future. People talk about "the permanent underclass" all the time, but I think the millionaires will be on the side of the proletariat. You have all the money or no money. Money will depreciate so fast because there is nothing you would pay each other for. There will be precisely two types of transactions remaining: the transfer of capital, and petty transactions like buying food or water. Financialization will break down as the cost of skill, expertise, IP, etc goes to zero. I used to believe I have developed a set of skills that would be profitable for a long time. But there are no such thing as hard skills anymore. In the future, if you survive, if you do anything, if you have a position in society at all, it is because the powers that be are humoring your existence for whatever reason. I wish I was two years older, though I don't wish I was five years older, and I'm thankful I'm not two years younger

I am in awe of how boring hyperindividualism is. Everything revolves around the “self-discovery journeys” of the most insipid people imaginable, doing nothing but gazing into their own skulls and converting resources into shit & piss. The fact that the words “human possibilities” could be made so small and uninspiring as to mean “people having complicated feelings about their genitals” really says it all. What a failure
what did you think permanent underclass meant? vibes? essays?
.@jayleno says the middle of the consumer market is disappearing, from cars to hotels to restaurants.
"The middle is dead."
"I see Porsche moving upscale and they want to be like Ferrari."
"Everything is that way now. With hotels, you're either at the Motel 6 or the Four Seasons."
"Restaurants are either fast food or top end restaurant."
"We have no middle class anymore."
notably, giving money to kids doesnt help anyone displaced by AI

combining the Hunter Schafer discourse with the Malfoid discourse by suggesting the former would be a great actress for the latter's role
the discourse should move on from the horrors of AI killing us all to the horrors of AI not killing us all

As a frontier lab employee, I am EXTREMELY worried about AI killing us. Now, if it doesn't kill us & instead just makes employment impossible & deprives all intellectual labor of its fruits? You're each gonna get one fourteen-billionth of my equity. So what are you whining about?
probably the other reason why there will never be a revolution in america is because of china ironically
as long as china continues supplying cheap goods that are payable for in (increasingly worthless due to inflation) U.S. dollars
there’s no reason for U.S. citizens will rebel
we will be sedated by consumption
as long as the treats flow, all remains right in the american’s world
