We’ve been conditioned to plan our life like this: Your year = Work+Appointments+ Other people’s request for your time (Weddings+Charity events, birthdays). THEN WE’RE TOLD…whatever time is left THEN schedule your trips, workouts, classes, date nights, races, classes you want to take… To me that equation is BACKWARDS. Plan what is most important to you first… then let the other stuff fill in around it. That’s going to mean saying no to things. That’s going to mean missing things. But it’s also going to mean…Doing more of what you want to do, with the people you want to do those things with. I learned a long time ago that I’m much happier when I put my goals and desires on the calendar first…resentment and stagnation comes when I don’t. #TwoCents
