Near and Dear was about learning about each other, sharing stories of community, and having an adventure in the neighbourhood that produced the start of an asset map. The group of 80 including students from the elementary school came back with amazing stories and information.

I first visited @4AllPeople4 in 2007. Their hospitality & passion for the abundance in communities was a great source of motivation in our early community development work. The welcoming the stranger & asking what are you dreaming of ignited much transformation.

ABCD is all about using the strengths in your community. How have you seen your community use its assets? Let's celebrate local initiatives like ReNewport, the tree planting groups, a good partnership of residents, non profit, local and federal government.

SSJ: “She was definitely one of the high points of my teenage years, one of the high points of my touring life. When she came on stage with The Jukes the crowd went crazy. And, I got to play castanets! Who could ask for more. Rest in a groove, Ronnie.” youtu.be/xERh3DH3x_4

Today, I met with my #FPT counterparts of ministers responsible for social services to talk about the Canada Disability Benefit.   Together, we will work to ensure that persons with disabilities are better off thanks to this new measure and make 🇨🇦 a more inclusive place for all!
