Welcome to 154 bed, non-sober, Bridge House in Venice Beach. There is a growing open-air drug market outside that has overtaken the block. “Visitors” chain dogs to the fence for hours without water. Live wires on sidewalk- electric poles have been tapped into.
Residents express growing fear and concern. LAPD does not have resources to enforce area. Staff for Councilwoman @TraciParkforLA has directed residents to call CIRCLE, which are unarmed social workers.
The shelter operators are bad actors that will never be held accountable. It’s time to end this #FailedSocialExperiment

if everytime you interact with someone in the service industry (restaraunts, stores, hotels etc) you FIRST make eye contact and say hi or how are you? and then order your coffee or whatever. acknowledge we are all people. if you do this evertyhing is a little better.

I just found out the person killed in the Laguna Woods shooting yesterday was my primary care physician, Dr. John Cheng. Absolute hero. He attacked the gunman and helped save so many in that church. I just wanted his name to be known. He will be missed.
As a native NYC'er - I'm pretty laid back - but there are 2 non-negotiables in these streets - poor elevator and/or sidewalk etiquette. Learn about it or get out the way plz thank you. #NYC
