Big day yesterday and today - we’re ‘hosting’ the virtual Kick-Off Meeting for our new Erasmus + KA202 Partnership Project CABIT - 7 partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Romania and Spain. Lots of discussion and planning of the work yesterday and again today😁👍🇪🇺
Damning quote from a *Downing St adviser* in the Sunday Times’ brilliant long read on the Government’s response to the pandemic.

After a truly incredible couple of weeks, our fundraising appeal is now closed at a grand total of £103,834. Given our original dream was to raise £5,000, we are truly astounded and so so grateful to everyone who came together to support independent musicians and @HelpMusiciansUK

I notice the main BBC journalists i.e. Laura Kuenssberg, Vicki Young amd Ben Wright haven't tweeted about the #SundayTimes story yet. Isn't it newsworthy? #BorisOut #BorisResign

I've got an email in my outbox dated Jan 19, cancelling a fairly important trip to Bangalore and saying "I don't want to go down in history as the guy who brought COVID19 to Devon". It was as obvious as that as early as that. Anyone claiming there was any uncertainty is lying. – at Exeter, England

"Over-responding is better than delaying action"... A British academic's warning in mid-January. At this stage our hospitals were depleted for PPE and our number of ventilators/pop was v low.
Been asked by journalists how serious #WuhanPneumonia outbreak is. My answer: take it seriously bc of cross-border spread (planes means bugs travel far & fast), likely human-to-human transmission & previous outbreaks have taught over-responding is better than delaying action.

My friend called me this morning. Her boyfriend has an 8 year old with his ex. His ex (35) died in the house last night after an ambulance was called when she was struggling to breathe. Dear God, the poor child

If there’s one thing this week has taught us, it’s that there is no age limit to being an absolute hero. RIP Margaret x

Well played Denmark 🇩🇰 The Danish Government has become the first to announce that companies that are registered in tax havens won’t be eligible for Coronavirus crisis bailouts.

It is heartbreaking that NHS staff have been, and continue to be, failed by those at the highest level. We hope the media maintain this level of scrutiny for the benefit of everyone in the UK - please RT if you do too. thetimes.co.uk/article/coron…

So let me get this straight: Jeff Bezos has grown his fortune by $24,000,000,000 during this pandemic, but he still can't afford to provide sick leave to all of his employees?
