CSS tip:
Stop duplicating your CSS for Dark Mode.
The new `light-dark()` function lets you define both values in a single line.
It eliminates the need for redundant media queries and keeps your variables in one place.

Just a small change, the client said.
Just one line of code.
Just a tiny CSS tweak.
Meanwhile me:
• breaking layout
• fix 3 other bugs
• improve performance
• accidentally refactors half the project
That’s how real progress looks. 😄
But it’s Christmas time and I need some fun. 🤣

Stop consuming and start building.
You don’t need 10 more tutorials. You need a small project.
Even one:
• Landing page
• Blog with custom post types
• Vue + WordPress widget
• Portfolio site with forms
Projects teach:
• Problem-solving
• Debugging
• Real workflow
Start small, finish it, publish it.
That’s how you grow.

If you’re using WordPress with Elementor or Divi, enable Cloudflare’s Always Online.
It’s not a backup. It’s a static snapshot of your site that stays visible when your server goes down.
So even if hosting crashes, PHP breaks, or WordPress throws a fatal error, visitors still see your site instead of a 500 page.
Also:
– Remove unused plugins
– Keep a lightweight fallback theme ready
– Don’t rely only on your host for uptime
A professional site doesn’t just look good. It stays online when things break.

Most WordPress problems aren’t WordPress problems.
They’re hosting, plugins, builders, and workflows that were never set up with performance in mind.
After rebuilding so many client sites, I’ve seen the same patterns repeat.
So we turned those insights into a full guide for 2026: performance, security, block themes, plugins, and the practices that actually move the needle.

They say WordPress is “slow, insecure and bloated”
Not true.
A well-built WordPress site is fast, stable, secure, and cost-efficient
Small businesses don’t need 6 SaaS tools stitched together, but clarity, ownership, one dashboard
The best tool is the one that fits the business

Feature First, Layout Later
New devs: stop starting with navbars & footers.
Start with features like:
Search
Booking
Add to cart
Function first → layout second.

One big change helped me increase my revenue fast:
Focus on the MONTHLY income streams.
It’s ‘easy’ to sell a $3-5k website, but that’s once-off, then what?
It’s ‘easier’ to sell a $500 - $1k /month service.
Do both, and you’re on to a winner 🤌
I often charged clients $3k for a website + $1k /mo marketing services rather than a bigger $5-$10k once-off website project.
Not sure what monthly services to offer?
Here are a few examples:
• Hosting
• Updating website/plugins/security
• Reporting
• SEO
• AB Split Testing
• New Monthly Pages
• Content Writing (Articles)
• Ad Management
• Social Media Management
• Infographic Designs
• Email Marketing
And most of these services are pretty easy (and affordable) to outsource if that's not something you're interested in doing yourself.
Also remember that it’s OK to start small…
When I started freelancing in 2015, I charged clients $150 /mo and after 2 years, they would be paying $1k /mo because of upsells.
🍔 Takeaway:
Think of a service you can sell for at least $500 - $1k /mo as a package and then focus on generating leads in your sales funnel.
5 clients at $500 /mo = $2.5k
Once you get 5 paying clients, do more of what's working, and you'll soon hit $5-10k /month.
Happy to answer any questions if you have 👌

🏔️Coding is a long, difficult, tiring journey.
Nobody can do it alone, we all need a hand. It is necessary to support each other, like the stones of a mountain, to get really high. It is not important what our precise position is.
Only together, we can do this.

Dear all, can you please retweet / repost (re-x?) this? It's a huge thing for me!
