I spoke with @RepBowman in my latest for @thenation about @TheBlackCaucus relationship with AIPAC. I wrote about how the CBC has damaged their standing as the “conscience of congress.” Read “The Congressional Black Caucus’s Silent Partnership With AIPAC” thenation.com/article/societ…

I’ll have to watch this, but, as an audience member, @FTFonFS1 works b/c @Chris_Broussard and @kevinwildes prevent @getnickwright from taking his takes too seriously, which prevents Wright from falling into what we was becoming: anti-@RealSkipBayless . The show works b/c audience knows the panel has a “home” team that they root for no matter what. We know “Mahomes Mountain” is a joke, but the bit works because the other panelist know it’s rigged/a joke and know not to take it too seriously. It works because instead of Wright being an anti-Bayless, they are an anti-First Take, which is refreshing in an ecosystem in which everyone copies First Take.
Why does First Things First work? Nick Wright talks about his partners. He is the guest on the pod. There is a lot of good stuff. Out in the morning. Subscribe for free or paid

To *pay* him, you mean.
The problem with Stephen A Smith’s politics is that he doesn’t actually believe in anything… he just wants white people to pet him

The irony, as Kawhi Leonard shows, is that unhealthy is wealth.
Hello people, I'm working with doctors and experts to figure out how to be fully back to good health asap. Honestly, I'm getting better and better. I just have to stay patient, and I believe I'll be feeling great again soon. It has definitely been frustrating dealing with some health stuff that you can't exactly pinpoint, on top of injuries throughout my career, so it has added up for sure, but we will get through it 💪🏼 Health is wealth. Thank you for all the support 🙏🏼

Butch Ware is 💯 percent correct here.
Hate me all you want. I personally think that it’s morally abominable to celebrate the victory of a party that orchestrated, funded, and sustained the most heinous live-streamed genocide in modern history. The most ‘progressive’ public figures in that party continue to condemn legal and righteous Palestinian resistance. All of it feels to me like dancing on the graves of martyrs.

Who is stopping Josh Allen from winning the Super Bowl and MVP this season?

Glad he got a bag. Also, it is only a matter of time before corporations start staging this sort of thing for advertisement.

Thank you! This is great.
Today, we installed the first-ever residential on-street trash container in Brooklyn! Say goodbye to piles of garbage on our sidewalks. Thanks to @CMCrystalHudson, @NYCMayor, and @NYCSanitation for their commitment to cleaner & safer streets.

I had a dream I was interviewing Brandon Beane, and during the interview Beane said “fuck them picks,” and announced the @BuffaloBills were making a trade for @CrosbyMaxx.

I think who @briebriejoy critiques and how often she critiques them matters less than whether or not she’s correct. There is nothing wrong with going after the left. She is one of the people I go to if I want to be challenged or hear valid criticisms of the limits of leftist progressivism and solidarity. Stay on em!
I think Briahna Joy Gray spends 99% of her time now going after AOC, Mamdani, and the D.S.A.

I often wonder what it would reveal about the American psyche if people had to honestly write down the answer to “why are you posting about this stranger on social media?” Before posting pictures and video of a stranger for the world to see.
An airline passenger allegedly burst into tears – for three hours. According to travel blogger Tomiko Harvey, the woman sitting next to her wanted her aisle seat. When Harvey refused, her seatmate proceeded to weep. The woman wanted Harvey to switch seats with her husband, who was in a middle seat three rows up on a 10-hour flight. The woman wanted her husband to sit next to her, so she could rest her head on his shoulder, Harvey said in a video post, which has gone viral with nearly 5 million views. When she said the husband slept peacefully on the trip that was all I needed to know that he was the one that's booked the flight.🤣Grow up! Pick 2 seats next to each other next time. Don't just assume someone will switch with you! 🤦‍♀️ via @InsideEdition

This is one of my biggest issues with the NBA. I will never understand why the NBA can’t start its games on time.
I have this thing about the start of games (starting on time)… If the game is supposed to start at certain time, then start it at that time. If you want to do something before the game, then you start that something before the scheduled start time.

This is huge news! And congratulations 👏🏾👏🏾

You know it’s bad when you’re watching the football game and you say, “why are the 49ers hitting them so hard?”

💯
Frankly, this is how moving the Overton window is supposed to work and why it's imperative for the left to pressure left electeds, despite what DSA rightists/Progs say. If Mamdani becomes "the consensus center" then you've just moved the Dem party leftward. That's the point.

Not hitting the nail on the head (you could literally ask the same thing about Dem Party). I think people have to read non liberal, Black journalist, writers, and thinkers. The great thing about not defining yourself in rigid legible terms is that you avoid capture.
hitting the nail on the head re: dsa coverage by the press—but this is also a failure of our org to define ourselves to the public

Yes @BuffaloBills is 4-1… but look a little deeper: they’re 30th in total defense, 28th in points per game, have a -4 turnover differential and are a top 10 most penalized team… this is not a sustainable winning model. Lots to clean up here

I wonder if this is the difference someone with actual NFL experience and someone that just talks about the game? He knows his team, saw what was happening (turnovers), and decided to go with the kicker…. And it worked.
On a weekend of just awful game management, Joe Brady adds his name to the list. Electing to kick that FG at 2:00, rather than winding the clock down to ~:35, so if you miss it the Rams chances of winning are greatly minimized, is just inexplicable. Don’t get these coaches.
