Incredible drone footage of a large saltwater crocodile towing a wallaby, pursued by two rivals looking to steal the meal out in Kununurra, Western Australia. Saltwater crocodiles are the largest living reptiles on Earth, capable of exceeding 20 feet and 2,000 pounds.
As somebody who's seen an American marten in the field only once, I appreciate this capture so much. Very elusive, nimble, and just tough to photograph overall. Here are some of my only captures of one out at Rocky Mountain National Park and they're not very good photos.
PEAK KING TIDE
Our waterways in Miami Beach are now flooding into the streets as we're now in the King Tide's peak high tide window. Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for much of South Florida's Atlantic coast due to king tide, strong winds, and heavy rain. Fun!
Today marks the highest predicted tide of the year here in Miami Beach. The King Tide runs through the end of the month and along with rain, most of South Florida's east coast is under a coastal advisory. Might be time to bring out kayaks!
We just checked out of an Airbnb this morning and the host just tried to tack on an additional $200 pet fee ($100 for each of our dogs) because she saw me loading the car with our dogs. The crazy part? I booked the listing specifically for the pet accomodations and our pets were listed on the reservation from the beginning. The audacity.
A moment I'll never forget. Staring down my first moose and watching her forage for willow at Glacier National Park.
Bison wallow for pest control, coat shedding, and rut-season swagger. The bowls they leave behind fill with rain and can transform into wetland habitat for other insects, amphibians, and birds. Dust baths from these American beasts can build entire ecosystems!
This is how I also flirt.
Love when a subject walks straight at me and gives me no chance to recompose. This bison was adamant about his close-up.
How many of you guys remember when I used to post snowboarding content? To this day my favorite mountain resorts are probably Big Sky, Steamboat, and Brighton. Fun times!
Okay this was pretty cool. My Grok bot assistant (Pip) crunched my analytics, current OCR payouts, and my Video Kickstart Bonus ($500 potential on the Nov 18 payout), then built a budget for a solo ~6-day Yellowstone trip in January. Pip also mapped content ideas and a reminder calendar across the next three pay periods.
Nature and wildlife donβt go viral like rage-bait or politics, but humor does travel! So I'm going to try to lean harder into memes and jokes (you guys loved that mountain goat AllTrails post). Goal: cover about 2/3 of the trip with π payouts from my content, not debt. That would require roughly 2M verified impressions between now and beginning of December.
What I need from you: donβt lurk. Reply, quote, share the nature posts! I appreciate every comment and share you guys give me! Drop a Yellowstone winter tip for me or tell me something you'd like for me to capture out there!
I'm locked in a battle with my Grok bot assistant, Pip. Pip keeps pushing a January trip to Yellowstone to track moose, wolves, and otters. Send help.
Young bighorn ram at Logan Pass makes a move on a female (known as ewes). Another ram shuts it down immediately. Just a swift reminder of where he stands in the pecking order among the herd. Filmed at Glacier National Park!
We do a little landscape photography around here too!
Kintla Lake sits in one of the most remote corners of Glacier National Park. No development upstream, glacial meltwater, Precambrian bedrock that barely dissolves. The result is water so clear it looks surreal.
Guys, I found a female wolf spider carrying spiderlings! How cool is this! Photo taken with my Google Pixel. If only I had a macro lens!
