Miami Beach sent armed police to Raquel Pacheco’s home because she criticized the Mayor’s rhetoric about Palestinians on social media. The officers refused to leave and told her not to post such content again. Now, a federal judge has ruled that Raquel’s First Amendment lawsuit, brought by ADC, can proceed.
VICTORY in @adc case Pacheco v. City of Miami Beach! Earlier this year, the Mayor sent police to veteran Raquel Pacheco's house because she had criticized the Mayor's dehumanizing rhetoric against Palestinians on social media. The cops refused to leave even though she said she didn't want to speak to them without a lawyer, insinuated her post could be unlawful as it could incite violence, and told her to refrain from posting such content in the future. Today, the judge in the Southern District of Miami DENIED much of Defendants' motion to dismiss, finding that the police visit could constitute unlawful viewpoint discrimination and retaliation under the First Amendment. The judge also held we could proceed on our theory of municipal liability against the City, because we had alleged facts demonstrating a pattern or practice of discriminating against pro-Palestine speech in the City of Miami Beach. Two days ago, ADC documented how The New York Times homepage completely ignored anything Gaza, the occupied West Bank and Lebanon. Today, October 22, 2026, the same blackout continues: across more than 160 news items, opinion pieces and videos, there is not a single item covering Gaza, the occupied West Bank or Lebanon.
Today's New York Times homepage [10/20/2026] features more than 160 articles and videos from top to bottom, yet not a single report, opinion piece, video or interview covers Gaza, Lebanon, or the West Bank.

“As in previous years, security forces are working to facilitate a safe and orderly olive harvest season”
Earlier today, a number of harvesters, accompanied by dozens of individuals, arrived to conduct an uncoordinated olive harvest in an area near Beitar Illit. Harvesting in this area requires a request to be submitted to the relevant authorities in advance of the start of the olive harvest season. This coordination is necessary to ensure the security of the area and maintain public order. Due to the security risk posed by conducting an uncoordinated harvest near an Israeli community, IDF soldiers, Border Police forces in Judea and Samaria, and officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police arrived at the scene and detained those present. The landowner was informed that he must coordinate the olive harvest on his plot of land and was provided with the relevant contact information to arrange a harvest at a later date. It should be emphasized that authorized olive harvests have taken place and continue to take place. To date, approximately 100 coordinated harvests have been conducted across Judea and Samaria, yielding many dozens of tons of produce, with security provided and coordination by the security forces, without any unusual incidents. In areas designated for coordinated harvesting, only harvesters will be permitted to enter, solely for the purpose of harvesting. As in previous years, security forces are working to facilitate a safe and orderly olive harvest season, with a firm commitment to enabling harvesting without unusual incidents or interruptions, alongside their ongoing defensive and counterterrorism missions.

I’m obsessed with this fascistic Israeli cop who shoved me twice, cut his elbow, stared at it for a while, then tapped me on the shoulder, pointed at his boo-boo, and said, “See what happen?”
Twelve soldiers + police showed up in Taybeh olive field to stop a single Palestinian olive farmer from harvesting a single tree. After harassing him for 30+ minutes, a car full of some sort of special police officers stormed in and violently arrested the journalist/activist @the_andrey_x. One of the arresting officers shoved me, then showed me his bloody elbow and said I did it to him. (So if they take me next, that’s probably their pretense.) Second and third videos are other angle of the shove (including it here to be safe). Fourth video is from just before—the major military operation to stop a farmer from picking olives. Fascist state.

🚨 ADC has filed an emergency motion demanding the return of four electronic devices seized by CBP from a couple returning from a family trip to Turkey with their one-year-old child. When psychiatric nurse practitioner Muhammad Numaan Imam refused to unlock his phone to protect confidential patient information, CBP seized his phone, his wife’s phone, and both their laptops. The next day, his Global Entry membership was revoked. ADC is asking a federal court to order the return of their devices, prevent further searches, and require the government to disclose what data it may have extracted. This is the latest in ADC’s growing legal fight against warrantless seizures of electronic devices at U.S. borders. Read more: adcri.org/case/imam-v-mullin…

Forensic investigators found that 335 bullets were fired into the car carrying five-year-old Hind Rajab and her family in Gaza. The Israeli unit implicated in their killing was commanded by Sean Glass, who is now in New York City. Glass commanded the “Vampire Empire” Company of the IDF’s 52nd Armored Battalion, part of the 401st Armored Brigade. ADC is calling on the Trump administration to arrest and prosecute him for alleged war crimes. The U.S. must not be a safe haven for those accused of such crimes. Amazing organizing work by @Intllawcenter . A huge victory for their tireless work in Palm Beach County.
For those who missed it, this past Thursday the Palm Beach County Investment Policy Committee declined to raise the cap on Israel Bond buys, which means barring some huge influx of cash flooding the coffers in the next few weeks they will be unable to reinvest the bonds maturing in November. Clearly they're not crazy about all the extra attention they are getting. Keep it up!!

🧵 The Israeli settlers’ violent assault on American photojournalist and Washington Post contributor Heidi Levine on Oct. 16 follows a wave of similar incidents against Palestinian and foreign journalists in the occupied West Bank. In the first eight months of 2026, Israeli settlers assaulted, harassed, or obstructed at least 35 journalists in the West Bank. The Trump Administration has stated that it has no higher priority than the safety and security of U.S. citizens abroad. Given Israel’s longstanding failure to deliver accountability for attacks on journalists over the last 20+ years, the U.S. government must ensure that proper investigations are conducted and perpetrators are held accountable. U.S. targeted sanctions and other meaningful consequences must also follow. Impunity for crimes against journalists must end. Journalism is #NotACrime. cpj.org/2026/10/american-pho… Here's how U.S. politicians have responded 🪡 ⤵️

“Glass is not just another man implicated in the killing of Hind Rajab. He is the man who most likely gave the order to open fire,” said HRF Director General Dyab Abou Jahjah. The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed an urgent request with the US Department of Justice to investigate, arrest, and prosecute Sean Glass, an Israeli commander who committed war crimes and genocide in Gaza. Glass commanded the “Vampire Empire” company, which HRF says was responsible for the killing of five-year-old Hind Rajab, members of her family, and the paramedics who tried to rescue them. The foundation says its investigation places Glass and his troops near Hind’s vehicle during the attack and that he most likely ordered the troops to open fire.

If, as you correctly note, the problem is not just violent settlers, but the expansion of the settlement enterprise and support of the Israeli government, then the West Bank Violence Prevention Act is insufficient. You need to support @JoaquinCastrotx's Stop the Settlements Act.
Unchecked settler violence in the West Bank is unacceptable. Within the last several days, Palestinians, European diplomats, and American journalist Heidi Levine have faced horrifying attacks by settlers. Condemnations, opening of investigations, and the arrest of 10 settlers today is a start, but far more must be done to rein in settler violence. When Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government retroactively legalizes outposts, when Finance Minister Smotrich and National Security Minister Ben-Gvir openly support settlement expansion, and when settlement projects such as E1 are allowed to proceed, all these actions enable further settler violence. We must ensure perpetrators of instability in the West Bank are held accountable. Congress should pass the West Bank Violence Prevention Act, legislation I introduced with Representatives Nadler and Himes that would sanction individuals and entities destabilizing the West Bank. Those threatening peace and stability in the West Bank must face consequences to prevent further terror and unrest.

🚨 NEW: The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a request with the U.S. Dept of Justice to investigate, arrest, and prosecute Sean Glass, who is currently in the United States. Glass commanded the Israeli unit who fatally shot 5-year-old Hind Rajab. He’s in the U.S. walking free.

Seems to me these activists were summoned for shady grand jury proceedings because Trump's DOJ is on a fishing expedition vs Fergie Chambers The ultimate goal is to criminalize Palestine solidarity work and define any protest that interrupts Israeli arms production as terrorism

"The reason I keep bringing up the Palestinians throwing rocks to protect Heidi is because, I mean, I can’t emphasize enough how much these young men are . . . Yesterday, they put their lives on the line. There were soldiers there, and soldiers will shoot when somebody is throwing rocks. These young men put their lives on the line to protect a sixty-three-year-old Jewish American journalist. And, I mean, these guys are heroes. If they were not doing that, so many villages would’ve been overtaken. They are literally the only defense. [On Saturday] I was in a village called Jalud, and the exact same thing happened. We got attacked by settlers, and it was these young men, whom we call the shabab, who fought them back with rocks. And the reason I just want to put a fine point on this is because, for me, just in terms of where things are going with Israel-Palestine politically, I think that a sort of discursive shift in how we talk about Palestinians’ right to defend themselves needs to happen." @infinite_jaz to @IChotiner

We’re grateful for these words and for everyone who recognizes the importance of this work. From challenging government abuses to helping the growing number of people whose rights are being violated at the U.S. border, ADC’s legal team works to hold the government accountable and defend people’s constitutional rights. This work is only possible with your support: adc.org/donate/
I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for @JeninYounesEsq and the incredible work she and her colleagues at the @adc do to protect people from government abuses. When CBP seized journalist Max Blumenthal’s devices, Jenin helped secure their return in less than 24 hours and is now pursuing legal action demanding greater transparency and accountability. But her work isn't limited to prominent journalists or public figures. Jenin had never even met me, yet she took the time on very short notice to assist me when I was traveling through CBP. More recently, she helped another friend whose family was detained at an airport and had their devices seized. These are just a few examples of the countless people she helps, often quietly and without any public recognition. And she certainly doesn't do it alone. There's an entire organization of dedicated people working tirelessly to defend the rights of citizens and noncitizens alike. Jenin herself probably works 80 hours a week serving a massive community across the country. I genuinely don't know how she does it, but I know that this kind of work takes an enormous personal toll. The other side has ann entire army of lawyers and organizations. We have our own as well but we don’t know them or support them enough. People like Jenin spend their lives showing up for others. I think it's time we showed up for them.  ADC needs our support and resources to continue this important work and give people like Jenin the relief they deserve. If you appreciate having people willing to stand up to government abuses, especially when ordinary people have nowhere else to turn, please consider supporting their work. I'll leave a link below for anyone who wants to contribute. 👇

If true, this marks another escalation in the Zionist war against Americans and their civil liberties. Just the other day, @endthecartel26 was arrested and told he might be charged with a hate crime for using colorful language against Israel in public. Now, this Israel-critical mam has apparently been arrested for a social media post— almost always first amendment protected speech— based on accusations by two pro Israel women. We @adc are fighting the Israel lobby’s attempts to decimate our civil liberties every day, but we don’t have enough attorneys to take on as many cases as I’d like. Please consider supporting our efforts if this is something you care about. You can do so by going to Adc.org
A good friend of mine, @iElijahManley (ran for Congress against carpet bagger Wasserman Schultz) was just arrested and given a $40,000 bond for a social media post he made back in August. Two women who are falsely claiming to be victims of the post (which had nothing to do with either of them) are major fundraisers for the Broward SA office. These womens' social media posts are almost exclusively pro-Israel propaganda. Elijah passionately spoke up against Israel throughout his campaign.

Forty-one years after Palestinian American civil rights leader Alex Odeh was assassinated in a bombing at his Santa Ana office, no one has been brought to justice for his murder. In this report for Capitol Hill Citizen, Russell Mokhiber examines journalist David Sheen’s investigation into the killing, the suspects identified by investigators, and allegations that U.S. authorities were prevented from arresting them before they fled to Israel. Odeh was a leader in the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee who worked to build dialogue between Arab Americans and Jewish Americans. His assassination remains an open wound, and his family is still waiting for justice. Read here: capitolhillcitizen.substack.…

Heidi Levine, an American journalist, was on assignment for the Washington Post when she was beaten so badly by Israeli settlers that she needs surgery. No condemnation or even mention from the United States yet.
Heidi is going to be okay, but her injuries are significantly worse than initially thought. It appears that she may have been stabbed. She’s getting ready for surgery.
