I don’t care that he’s dead.
He’s not a hero.
He’s a scumbag.
He shouldn’t be celebrated.

The Lincoln Project created this video, and apparently it is pissing the turd off immensely, so I naturally had to share it.
It’s amazing how you can blame every Muslim person for 9/11 but get all bent out of shape when someone distrusts white people as a group for their brutal and never ending colonization of the world.

Donald Trump with his political acrobats, impulsive and often unwise decision-making cannot be trusted. His pseudo Machiavellian way of dealing with his presidency and the reckless decisions of starting conflicts and wars appear more like the actions of a confused leader who relies on lies, reverses his words, and keeps enemies guessing. Twice he has attacked Iran during ongoing negotiations, and it would be foolish for Iran to be bitten a third time in the same way.
Trump seems to understand only the language of power, and had Iran not struck back forcefully at America and Israel, they would have been continuously targeted, just as we have seen in Gaza and Lebanon.
These actions are not really about any noble cause. No one truly cares about Iran or the human rights situation of Iranians, or about bringing a king under the guise of democracy. It is largely about oil and gas, the military industrial complex, and perhaps political distractions such as the Epstein files. Netanyahu’s decades long desire to attack Iran finally found a willing partner in Trump, something previous American presidents did not pursue in the same way.
Iran certainly has many internal issues, especially regarding human rights, women’s freedoms, and other social and political matters. Many Iranians are dissatisfied, and some of their grievances may be justified. However, these are internal matters that must be resolved through peaceful and political processes, dialogue, and gradual reform, not through foreign intervention, violent unrest, or brutal crackdowns. Every government has shortcomings and policies that sometimes conflict with the will of the people, but that does not mean people should call for the destruction of their own country. Anyone who believes that America will bring democracy after what happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya is ignoring recent history.
America and Israel have pushed their strategy as far as they could, and Trump, seeing the possible consequences that many others could already see, may have had to step back, because the future of the region and the world could have become extremely bleak. In that sense, many opposition groups and Iranian diaspora activists, no matter how justified some of their demands may be, may feel they were ultimately used and then abandoned by political powers in America.
Still, peace is the best outcome for Iranians, Israelis, Palestinians, and the Gulf region. If warmongers stop pushing conflict, nations and people of different faiths should come together and give dialogue a chance, because war will not truly benefit anyone.
Humans are often fatally optimistic, but perhaps we can still see this as a moment of relief, because the destruction of Iran’s infrastructure would almost certainly have triggered massive retaliation, possibly plunging the entire Middle East into darkness before setting it ablaze in a wider inferno. One can only hope and pray that peace comes to the Middle East and that the world remains safe from these dangerous and reckless games.

He faces two options: either concede and allow the Strait of Hormuz to remain closed resulting in a strategic failure and the regime maintaining control or deploy thousands of marines to the area, which would inevitably escalate into armed conflict.
