We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved mother, Dolores Huerta, has passed away today at the age of 96. As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for us, and we ask for privacy as we grieve this incredible loss to our family. We know that many of you around the world share in our mourning, and we will be following up on plans to recognize and celebrate her incredible life and legacy.

Last week, my opponent described our state murder charges and arrest warrant for Raul Castro as nothing but a “political smokescreen.”
This is wrong and offensive to Florida and our Cuban community that has waited 30 years for justice.
Our charges have been filed, evidence assembled, and we are ready to prosecute a case against the communist dictator for ordering the murder of four Florida men.
We stand ready to support our federal partners in all ways as we push for a free Cuba and work hand-in-hand to seek justice and rule of law.
Describing this regime as anything other than a dictatorship is wrong and disqualifying.
