This whole thread is wonderful, especially these questions. How can we hold space for pain, and not just try to push it away/erase it/cover it up/apologize for it?
Replying to @sheer_awe
How are you in a room with pain?
The room of your own body? Do u shush it?
The room where others are crumbling, helpless, afraid? Do u cover it up?
The room of our world––in so much need of affection, presence, trustworthiness––do u bolt?
How are u in a room with pain?

“Aight, motherfuckers...Bet.”

59 years ago today, 2 buses left Washington DC for New Orleans. The trip was supposed to take 13 days, but the heroes on that bus would reveal racism, show what a REAL ally looks like and eventually expose one of the most racist conspiracies in history. (A thread)
