Now that we know this, none of this would hold true going forward. Feels like Hesinberg's uncertainty.
We aggregated five years of Google Flights data to find the best booking windows for holiday travel this year. Here’s what to know: ✈️ For Thanksgiving travel, flights tend to be cheapest in October. ✈️ For Christmas travel, the sweet spot for booking is 56 days out (October 30th). ✈️ Connecting flights can also be a big money saver. Nonstop tickets are 20% more expensive on average. ✈️ When you travel is key for saving: Departing on a Monday and returning on a Tuesday or Wednesday saves about 14% over weekend flights (and up to 20% domestically versus Sunday). ✈️ Wednesday beat Tuesday as the absolute cheapest day to book a flight, but the difference is negligible — buying a ticket on a Wednesday only saves you about 1.4% compared to Sunday, the most expensive day.

Reminds me of my advisor who refused to use figures but rather explain everything through math .. (@AnthropicAI when is Claude getting an Image Decoder ? )

I can see the paper from the search results but unfortunately I'm hitting arxiv.org's rate limit so I can't fetch the full text right now. ... :(

Does anyone know how to disable YouTube shorts ? I dont want to delete YouTube app though
Addiction to short-form videos reduces brain activity in the frontal lobe weakening the ability to focus.

P(next word | past words). Thats it. Thats how magic happens. If I were to take away 1 "thing" from Sam Bowman's paper, it would be: "Many important LLM behaviours emerge unpredictably as a byproduct of increasing investment"
I’m sharing a draft of a slightly-opinionated survey paper I’ve been working on for the last couple of months. It's meant for a broad audience—not just LLM researchers. (🧵)

Proud to have played a small role in this launch.
Launched the "Play Something" feature on Netflix today. It's been a long journey and a reminder that simple doesn't always come easy. Here's the story: vulture.com/amp/article/netf…

15 years ago, we launched Amazon S3, which was the start of #AWS as we know it today. Very thankful to our customers, partners, and employees – all of whom have driven this movement that's still in its relatively early days.

Knowledge graphs and deep learning for graphs combined. Check out dgl.ai at #sigir2020 for more. All open source as always.
.@awscloud has open-sourced a set of tools (DGL, the Deep Graph Library) for building and analyzing knowledge graphs, and at @sigir2020, AWS researchers described parallel-processing optimizations for embedding huge knowledge graphs with DGL amazon.science/blog/amazons-… #AmazonScience

I am very glad you enjoyed the talk @BritneyMuller. To your question, when we tested replacing stars with thumbs we saw an astounding 200% increase in ratings activity. A link to our article about Thumbs rollout: media.netflix.com/en/company… @NetflixResearch
Anoop's Netflix AI talk sparked 👏 SO 👏 MUCH 👏 JOY 👏 today at #ainextcon He shared deep ML insights on how the recommendation systems work. --Curious if you've seen higher engagement with the thumbs vs star rating @adeoras?

Best ways to relive the '90s: A. Find a cave in Winden, go back in time 33 years and wait five years till the '90s roll around again. B. Watch Yeh Meri Family.

'Because you watched' is not the only form of recommendation we provide at #netflix. 'Everything' is recommended & personalized. From the movies and TV shows you see on your page, to how the different rows stack up, to what images show up for each show... It's all personalized
