Today, @Pickleheads_ became @USAPickleball’s official court and game finder! 🇺🇸
We’re teaming up to provide ONE platform where players can always find the most accurate court and schedule information.
After 2 years of grind, it’s surreal to be endorsed by the national governing body of the sport. I could not be more excited for what’s to come!
📣 HUGE news… @Pickleheads_ is now 🇺🇸 @USAPickleball's Official Court and Game Finder!
Together, we’re working to offer players the most accurate source of court and schedule information ever created.

Someone made a site that tracks what people are talking about at public city council meetings across the US.
The only thing discussed more than data centers?
Pickleball courts.
Lots of hate on this product. I ordered one immediately.
For the last 10 years, we’ve had a Google home hub in our kitchen. We use it for small things throughout the day: music, weather, random questions, etc.
This category has been completely neglected for a while. The home hub hasn’t had a hardware update in 5 years! It’s painfully slow. Meanwhile, the alternatives either give you the screen or a good speaker, not both.
AI has dramatically expanded the use cases of a device like this. It’s going to be a home run.
Today, we're launching RateMyGame, the easiest way to get a @DUPRpb rating!
Upload 5 minutes of game footage and a top coach will give you a verified DUPR rating in 48 hours.
Thrilled to be partnering with @mypballcoach on this
Most players are still guessing their skill level.
We just fixed that.
With RateMyGame, you can now get a verified @DUPR rating in <48 hours — just by uploading match footage.
No logging. No clinics. Just better games.

Just in time for the holiday weekend, you can now create a mini pickleball tournament right from your phone!
They only take a couple of hours, and you can run them at your local courts with your regular crew.
This might be the coolest thing we’ve built...
Meet Shuffle – Our new fixed partner round robin format!
You can now create a real mini-tournament — with a partner, a bracket, and bragging rights — all from your phone.
Download the @Pickleheads_ app to try it out!

You can turn any iPhone into a "dumb phone".
Strip out distractions. Keep what matters. And switch back whenever you need.
Here’s how to do it using Focus Mode + Shortcuts (in under 5 minutes):
Someone is finally asking the right question!
Pretty cool: Pickleheads raised a 2.5 million dollar seed round. Are they the next @nvidia ?!

🚀 Big news: We just raised $2.5M for Pickleheads!
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport for a reason—it brings people together in the real world. That’s why we’re all-in on accelerating its growth.

As you can see by the responses, influencers have figured out that overseas talent arb is the most lucrative way to monetize their audience
It’s pretty wild how high the markups are. A $3-$4k/month VA is only getting paid ~$1k/month.
If you want to hire overseas talent, your best bet is to use Upwork and pay the reasonable 10% fee.
If you really want to hire direct, you can hire an in-market recruiter on Upwork.
Well said!
I love how the Linear team articulates why the old MVP concept is no longer relevant today:
"Most of us aren’t building for a net-new market. Rather, we’re finding opportunities to improve existing categories.
If you look at successful companies that have IPO'd in the recent years–Zoom, Slack, TikTok, Snowflake, Robinhood–you see examples not of novel ideas, but of these highly-refined ideas.
Since many of us are building in a crowded market, the bar for a competitive, public-ready MVP is much higher than the MVP for a novel idea, since users have options. To get to this high bar, we have to spend more time refining the initial version."

When is @MLB going to get control of this situation?
Bally has been dropped by nearly every TV provider. They are clearly not negotiating in good faith. It's pretty astounding that these contracts don't include an out clause for failing to distribute the content.
The league desperately needs Apple or Amazon to buy Diamond Sports out here...
This thread perfectly encapsulates what’s wrong with medicine.
Totally and condescendingly dismissive of scans and tests that could drive action and save your life.
Millennials in particular have had enough of this nonsense. Going to see an explosion of alternative, preventative care…

Could not agree more.
This is one area where benchmark data from VCs and lawyers should not guide your thinking. Most startups get this wrong…
This just doesn't feel like work...
When we started building tech for pickleball, people thought we were out of our minds. Less than 2 years later, we're the fastest growing company in our space and still haven't spent $1 on paid media.
I could not be more excited about what we have planned for 2024. New tools for finding lessons, organizing competitive events, and a whole lot more. 🤘

Peter Thiel on customer acquisition:
“The kitchen sink approach doesn’t work. Most companies get zero distribution channels to work. If you get just one channel to work you have a great business. If you try for several but don’t nail one, you’re finished. Distribution follows the power law."
