My spec proposal on peer storage just got merged! 🎉 It's my first-ever contribution to the Lightning Network spec, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Huge thanks to @rusty_twit, @niftynei, @HRF, @OpenSats, and everyone who helped make this happen! 🙌 Here’s to many more! 😁⚡💪

To be clear about what we are recommending: you do not need to shut your node down. Our advice is to upgrade. When the release lands, verify the signatures and install it, and do that promptly rather than eventually. --offline is the alternative for anyone who is not going to upgrade. The flag closes peer connections, so nothing routes in, out or through you, while leaving the daemon up. That is why we suggest it over a shutdown: a live daemon still follows the chain and can respond if a counterparty force-closes, a stopped one cannot. If you do run with --offline, take the flag back out once you upgrade or the node will stay disconnected.
Core Lightning has been triaging a high volume of AI-generated CVE reports over recent weeks. Several are real, and a coordinated fix is underway. What to do now: do not shut your node down. Restart it with --offline. That flag stops peer connections, so no payments route in, out or through your node. It keeps running, which means it keeps watching the chain and can still act if a counterparty force-closes a channel. A node that is powered off cannot do that, and that is why switching off is the worse option. On @umbrel or @start9labs this is a startup setting for Core Lightning, not a toggle in the dashboard. What happens next: signed binaries will be published. Verify the signatures before you install, then bring your node back online. Source and reproducible builds follow afterwards so anyone can audit what changed. github.com/ElementsProject/l…

6 cities, 6 luncheons, 80+ women successfully introduced to Bitcoin and freedom technologies! First attempt at redefining "Stridhan" and reminding women about the core characteristics of money while also bringing them into the open source ecosystem! Celebration over baked roshogullas at @bitshala Bitspace. My heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Bitcoin community for believing in me, helping me as and when you all could, in all of these cities. And most of all, my sponsors, who made the luncheons possible! @zebpay @bitshala_org @fedibtc @bitcoin4india. My individual sponsors @Desairous and the anons! My merch partner @bitcoin_thread But it's a small milestone we celebrate today. Tomorrow we unfold a new chapter! Stack Sats, Stay Sovereign, and don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do! 🧡 #Bitcoin #BitcoinHer #WomenInBitcoin

Had nothing better to do, so I turned a free day into a 12-hour hackathon and built an MCP server for @Core_LN in Rust. Because obviously, trusting your node to an AI is peak Bitcoin security.😃 Still rough around the edges, but it works! github.com/adi2011/CLN-MCP

Really enjoyed this - both the origin story (as a mechanical engineer who got sucked into lightning, I can relate) and the emergency recovery walkthrough. "This is the lightning database, so now I'll delete this... And you should never do this!" 🤣
Had an amazing conversation with @RajarshiMaitra! 🎙️🔥 Unveiling the story of how my journey into #Bitcoin development began! 🚀 From my first lines of code to becoming a part of this revolutionary tech. Take a listen and drop your thoughts!

This is another inspirational journey of someone from Metallurgical Engg ending up coding for #Bitcoin and @Blockstream powered by @summerofbitcoin . Give it a listen.
We recorded a new Bitcoin Talks episode with @adityaa2011, his inspirational journey from non-CS branch & not knowing about Bitcoin to working with Blockstream! Here's the session covering his exciting journey. Watch it now: youtube.com/watch?v=T_IsZN2w…
