I had the honour of working with Greg in the campaign for the 2024 election. His passing is a massive loss to the DA and our nation. 💔
🕊️ It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we have learnt today of the passing of Gregory Krumbock, a dedicated Member of Parliament, the Democratic Alliance's National Campaign Manager for many elections, including campaign 2024, a visionary strategist and a stalwart of the Democratic Alliance. Greg was not just a colleague; he was a friend, a mentor, and a passionate advocate for democracy in South Africa. Rest in peace, Greg Krumbock. Your legacy will live on.

It appears that Stats SA will only be releasing data at ward level, and not small area level. This is ... not good.

Replying to @adrianfrith
Second is the "German" system, basically the same as the one we already use for local elections. 200 constituencies electing single MPs by first-past-the-post, plus 200 top-up list MPs to restore proportionality. (4/7)
