AI is speeding up drug discovery by helping design molecules, optimise leads, review data and cut paperwork across pharma and biotech.
Tools like Claude have generated thousands of antibody designs and improved protein candidates, while other AI systems have advanced candidates into clinical trials with better early success rates.
This could bring more treatments for cancer, rare diseases and other conditions faster and cheaper, benefiting human health if results hold up in rigorous testing.

I was surprised to learn that Vaikom Vijayalakshmi is visually impaired. After reading her story on Wikipedia, I found her journey even more fascinating and inspiring. She also won the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2024.

The US National Security Agency has issued an urgent advisory advising all organisations using PHP to prepare for or immediately apply updates addressing two critical vulnerabilities. These flaws, collectively known as PHP2Shell and tracked as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 (each rated CVSS 9.2), enable unauthenticated remote code execution and can give attackers a direct path to a server’s file system or database.
The vulnerabilities affect PHP versions dating back to 2004 and underpin roughly 70% of websites worldwide, prompting the NSA to recommend taking affected systems offline where immediate patching is not feasible.
