So... Do you see the boy on a scooter? That was a 16 year old son of my mother's nurse. Nothing left of him. That was this woman's only child. I don't think I have much else to say. Russians killed him and ripped this woman's heart out. Trump assists Russia in this.
Moments ago, Russian forces bombed a residential neighborhood in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, hitting a grocery store. Three people lost their lives, and nine others, including two children, sustained injuries.

In 2020, Trump’s Director of National Intelligence was John Ratcliffe, whom he handpicked. Ratcliffe is now the director of the CIA. If Trump is going to claim this intelligence was suppressed, the theory would thus be that Trump’s intelligence community, under Ratcliffe, had an opportunity to inform the public China was trying to hurt his election prospects and actively chose to claim the opposite. Trump then responded to these revelations by allowing the same person to lead the CIA and by softening his position against China. Alternatively, Trump could just be making all this up on the fly because he's still upset about losing 2020 to Biden. You can decide which seems more plausible.

In today’s Wumao Soup, we’ll talk about Taiwan, the sovereign country the Chinese Communist Party insists is not a country, but constantly threatens to invade just like a country, while the “antiwar” crowd is eagerly encouraging them to start that war, endangering millions. 1/20

Actually there are a lot of lies told about Tiananmen. The student activists themselves say there were no students killed at the square. As for what happened off the square, seems to be a riot suppression rather than slaughter. Since then, there hasn’t been another Tienanmen so maybe foreigners should move on to other material?

🇹🇼🇺🇦 Taiwan has delivered an extraordinary show of support — 68 emergency vehicles for Ukraine! It's the largest transfer of its kind in Lviv’s history. They’ll be headed to frontline communities like Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and beyond, where help is needed most. These are the vehicles that arrive first when every minute counts — and thanks to Taiwan, more Ukrainian lives can be saved.

Every day, I write the same story: Russian strikes claiming lives. One person here, five there, a child, a grandparent... These tragedies have become so routine that the world is growing numb. Even as I try to share what’s happening in Kharkiv, I have to fight the algorithms. I have to get creative with my phrasing because the app flags "explosions in Kharkiv" as spam because of how often i post this same thing. Don't let our reality become background noise or a "show" you've grown tired of. Please help us amplify the truth. Every life taken was important and irreplaceable. These are not just statistics; they are unspeakable crimes.

1/ Leaked messages and photographs from a senior Russian general show his role in the murder, torture and abuse of captured Ukrainians, some of whom had their ears cut off. The messages illustrate how routine extreme brutality is in the Russian army, even at senior levels. ⬇️

Taking advantage of the moment, I would like to remind you that next month Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine will match the entire Soviet–Nazi war on the Eastern Front in total duration. Within almost exactly the same span of time unfolded the catastrophe of 1941, the Battle of Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, the conquest of Eastern and Central Europe, and the capture of Berlin. After the same amount of time -- having committed his entire conventional military power against Ukraine — Putin is still bogged down on the outskirts of Pokrovsk, barely 40 kilometers from the original front line that existed before the full-scale invasion.

The PRC didn’t exist in 1945, so Japan couldn’t have “returned” anything to it. The surrender was to the Allies, and the Cairo/Potsdam declarations were political statements, not sovereignty-transferring treaties. The only binding document — the San Francisco Peace Treaty — had Japan renounce Taiwan without naming a recipient because the Chinese Civil War wasn’t resolved. That’s why the legal status was left open. And just to stay factual: The PRC has never governed Taiwan. Claiming an unbroken line of sovereignty back through a government it overthrew is like saying a brand-new regime automatically inherits whatever it feels like. International law doesn’t work that way. Given that your government is “picking quarrels” with several countries at the same time right now, at least you’re showing more of your cards and people can see that your bullying is not limited to Taiwan.

Yes, why are people so obsessed with who is the murderer and who is the murdered, who is the rapist and who is the raped? (Perhaps a bad example considering this WH.) You can't end a crime spree, or an invasion, without acknowledging basic reality.
Sure, why focus on "the nitpicky details" of who invaded whom? Makes it harder to justify pressuring the victim, not the aggressor. xitter.gq/atrupar/status/1959619…

Trump doesn’t impose sanctions on Russia, saying the Russians want peace. “They should be in the G8,” he adds. Russia, meanwhile, shows the middle finger, declines Trump’s ceasefire and bombards Kyiv residential neighborhoods. As of now, at least 14 dead. Most likely more.

1/ Russians in pre-trial detention – not even having been convicted of a crime – say they are being tortured and forced to choose between sexual assault and signing a military contract. At the front, they were told they were animals and were wiped out in their first assault. ⬇️
