The coordinated verbal attack on Ekiti is not because Abia or Ebonyi or Enugu or Anambra is better than Ekiti, nah it is far from it. In fact those states and not in anyway better than Ekiti in any meaning way. The attack basically because @Ekitipikin decided to support @seyimakinde, that support really bruised their egos. They know one on one comparing Obi to Seyi, they will lose badly, and they will be exposed for the bigots they are. So they decided to do a DDoS attack on Ekiti.

This message is for my Yoruba brethren. As an Igbo man, I am proud to say that I will choose a competent Yoruba man over an incompetent fellow Igbo man, and I can give you examples.
I will choose Yemi Osinbajo, perhaps Raji Fashola, Dele Farotimi, Fela Durotoye, and many other competent individuals from Yorubaland. But as a proud Igbo man, I will never vote for politicians like Orji Uzor Kalu, Ben Kalu, Okezie Ikpeazu, Chukwuma Soludo, and many others whom I consider incompetent.
So, when you see me campaigning for Peter Obi, an Igbo man, understand that it is not because he is Igbo. It is because, in my assessment, he is the most competent candidate among the available options for now.
My loyalty is to competence, not tribe. My support is for good leadership, not ethnic sentiment. If a Yoruba man is more competent, I will support him. If an Igbo man is more competent, I will support him. Nigeria will never move forward if we continue to put tribal loyalty above competence and accountability.

Who cares that Soyinka won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986 and became the first African to receive that honour? That is ancient history! We have entered an era where personal preference is the highest literary qualification, and anybody who disagrees clearly doesn't understand literature.
Forget decades of scholarship, forget literary history, and forget the fact that greatness comes in different forms. Just declare your favourite the greatest and expect the whole world to agree.
After all, why should facts and context disturb a perfectly good social media argument?
