It took firefighters 4 hours and 16,000 litres of water to prevent the batteries on this Tesla from reigniting. Eventually they had to dig a hole, fill it with water and drag the electric vehicle into the pool of water to extinguish the blaze once and for all.

We attended a house fire in Knowle this morning with our colleagues from @AFRSTemple . Fire involved electric scooter battery packs charging in kitchen. 2 firefighters using breathing apparatus and a hosereel dealt with the blaze. #fire #lithium
