I sure as hell don't want a country with leaders that dismiss violence against Jews, associate with known terrorist sympathizers, Jew haters & communists, and is pretty clearly an antisemite.
So yes, opposing El-Sayed is earnestly putting country over party
Replying to @sunnyright
If you think this is an earnest country over party thing from Stevens I don’t know what to tell you!

The thing is that it is clear that Stevens couldn’t abide the antisemitism radiating from El Sayed and his surrogates and eventually gave up hope on a pivot.
Call that Country Over Party or just having a conscience, but if you think otherwise, I don’t know what to tell you.

Superb question by Ross Douthat and his dismissiveness of the El-Sayed go-to party trick —asking a question instead of answering one— leads AES into a meandering and absurd answer which leaves everyone aware that he will support boys in girls’ sports.

Why?

Completely unacceptable.

Islamophobia, a word much bandied about by Sadiq Khan, is used by Islamists to stifle legitimate criticism

It should be replaced by the more neutral word 'Islamoscepticism'
🚨BREAKING: Jeremy Clarkson is facing fresh calls from the left to be CANCELED after he weighed in on the Muslim grooming gangs scandal and said it is not racist to investigate a rapist.
His exact words: “It’s not racist to investigate a rapist! We need to remove the shackles of political correctness from the police.”
In his column, Clarkson argued that police must be freed from the fear of being labeled racist if they pursue these cases. He wrote that a young girl could report being raped by a gang of Pakistani men only to be dismissed because officers know they risk cancellation for reporting it.
Clarkson said another public inquiry is unnecessary because the problem is already clear, and the real obstacle has been the refusal to confront the ethnicity of the perpetrators without being accused of bigotry. The comments have drawn sharp criticism online from activists who claim he is stoking racism, with some calling for advertisers and platforms to drop him.
This is the same pattern that has followed Clarkson for years whenever he says something "politically incorrect".

To those attacking Stevens, this is what you are defending.
As if you didn’t already know.
Asked about the indictment, @AbdulElSayed defended the perpetrators: “It's a lot more about what you're advocating for that gets you indicted or not indicted, rather than what you did.”
Sure.
When asked about the one who worked for him, the campaign story/dates changed 3 times.

The failure here isn't Abdul Al-Sayed. The failure is the entire media complex who has decided they are not going to
question him on such things. This is a failure of journalism.
He has never been pushed on his family connections for the Muslim brotherhood, because journalists don't want to be called Islamaphobes. He has never been pushed on biological males competing in women's sports because the media doesn't want to approach that issue, and he has never ever faced any of these questions.
This is a failure of journalism.

Muslims make up 1% of the US population and they are already threatening to wage jihad if their Muslim candidates lose.
Now imagine if they became 10% of the population. It won’t be just threats.

I already got into it with the Bulwarkians, but if you want a return to a more ethical politics, you can’t be a coward when it comes to your friends. Bad behavior is bad behavior.
That said, I think they also underestimated the impact of Michigan’s Jewish voters.
They’re not a small group in swing counties like Oakland/Wayne/Washtenaw. This isn’t your average DSA race where people will brush off the wink-wink-nudge-nudge anti-Semitism, especially just months after an actual attack. They’re a reliable, significant voter demographic with meaningful electoral impact. It was amateurish to assume they’d fall in line.
This is what makes the @AdamKinzinger types so disgraceful today. For all of their moral grandstanding, they can't understand how truly hideous AES's Jew hatred was.
As for Haley, hurt people hurt people, I guess?
