FYI, the IMF expects "Brexit Britain" to be the fastest or joint fastest growing major (G7) economy in Europe in both 2026 and 2027, as she was in 2025, but still well behind the US 👇
(And some people would have us align even more closely with the EU... 🤷♂️)

The Americans can't quite take this in. Which is fair. Because it is completely nuts.

Latest YouGov/Times/Sky poll:
LAB 24%(-3)
CON 23%(+3)
RefUK 21%(-1)
LDEM 12%(+1)
GRN 11%(nc)
Don’t read too much into this in terms of direction of travel.
Shows the Burnham Bounce post-Labour conference short-lived. No surprise.
Shows the Badenoch Bounce post-Tory conference. Also likely to be short-lived. But Tories will relish overtaking Reform.
Shows Reform still in the doldrums. Not short-lived.
Shows LDs and Greens badly need new leaders/new directions.
Polls in a month’s time will be more indicative of political trends. The conference season will be long forgotten but the Budget will be factored into people’s voting intentions. Plus the Burnham novelty will be wearing off in face of winter adversity.
Until mid-November treat polls carefully (tho this one gives no comfort to the ‘early election’ lobby in the Labour Party).

This, from DfT annual report, shows capital spending on roads, rail and HS2.
Spending on HS2 is, year after year, higher than on the whole of the rest of the rail network, and nearly twice total spending on national highways.
Just think what could have been done instead.

Amazingly @BBCNews is still quoting stats provided by the Gaza Health Ministry.
Any organization in Gaza is Hamas. Therefore, not to be trusted.

Gaza is the most lied about war in history. There was no genocide, no famine, no intentional targeting of children. These are modern-day blood libels. We need to expose all the Islamo-left lowlifes who spread these lethal falsehoods, says Brendan O’Neill

How did the Nazis control the news in Germany?
On 4 October 1933, the Nazis introduced the Editors Law, excluding Jewish people from journalism in Germany’s press. Watch to learn how the law helped silence dissent and spread antisemitic propaganda.

The #GreenParty has been taken over by extremists & has embraced blatant anti-semitism.
Once a party that many welcomed into the national debate on important issues especially climate change, the Green Party now belongs in the rubbish bin of British politics

Jews and allies from across London are marching to honour one of Britain’s defining victories against fascism.
On Sunday 4th October, there will be a commemoration in the East End of the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street — when, in 1936, thousands of Jews and their allies stood together to stop the British Union of Fascists from marching through the area.
90 years on, the message remains as important as ever: antisemitism must be confronted, not tolerated.
As antisemitism once again runs rampant in Britain, we are reminded of the resilience required to stamp out anti-Jewish racism.

Fair enough. This is not remotely serious from the Lib Dems.
But let’s not forget current govt claimed a “fully costed” manifesto on basis of c£8bn of tax increases. It has increased taxes by c£70bn.
Pots and kettles spring to mind.
