Proof that you can spend your life minding your own damn business and not bugging anyone, and someone will still find a way to hate you.

When I was 27, I decided it was time to get serious and spent six months staying in to write as my friends went out — and, ultimately, produced about 45,000 words of a shockingly mediocre novel that I eventually abandoned. With some luck and willpower, you could do the same
"Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator."

“do you know excel”
no, but i know kindness. i know friendship. i know love. i know how to see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wildflower. i know how to hold Infinity in the palm of my hand, and eternity in an hour.
Next time I go in for a job interview and the company doesn't even have the courtesy to let me know that I didn't get the job, I'm burning their offices down.

Being rejected by the @artsfestival still hurts. Especially seeing all my peers going. Really wish I knew why my show wasn't accepted. I've been doing comedy for over a decade & the show is incredibly relevant. Makes me think someone on the booking committee doesn't like me.
It's the price. That and the fact that most movie theaters are run by people who couldn't give a fuck about movies. There are always projection and sound errors, and movies regularly start late.
It's a rough time for cinemas in South Africa, as movie attendance is still substantially below pre-pandemic levels, predominantly owing to a lack of Hollywood blockbusters, load shedding, and "franchise fatigue".

This tweet brought to you by me asking a woman out for coffee in the DMs and her asking if we'd met. I'm in love.
