If what you are asking for is always less than what gets funded, it shouldn't count as proposing increased funding.

When you are happy that @HouseScience can have meaningful hearings with qualified witnesses representing the scientific consensus on climate, but then you think about how much time we wasted and how much we have to do.

Elections matter. Remember this. Having the majority allows the @HouseScience Committee to effectively represent the consensus of scientists and also the nuances of our fields in hearing witnesses, as opposed to a lone witness in a sea of obfuscation.

Memo from BBC news director: "To achieve impartiality, you do not need to include outright deniers of climate change in BBC coverage, in the same way you would not have someone denying that Manchester United won 2-0 last Saturday. The referee has spoken.”

We can each do our part to help all eligible voters make their voices heard in this upcoming election and every election. And I'm thrilled that companies like @Lyft are working with @WhenWeAllVote to get people registered & out to vote this November.
Excited to team up with @Lyft to make sure their drivers & riders are registered & ready to vote in the election this fall!
We're also working with them & non-profits to make sure everyone has a ride to the polls. Because #WhenWeAllVote, we all do better. mashable.com/2018/08/23/lyft…

'Have mathematical models replaced good old-fashioned scientific testing?' is one funny lede. i don't know, have computers replaced pencil/paper? have cars replaced surreys? has superstition replaced reason? is manafort going to rat on vlad's buds? actually that one's a hard no.

Climate science made a clear and testable prediction of a sustained and accelerating warming trend. Those predictions have been tested year over year with new measurements. The agreement between the predictions and measurements has been spectacular.

Have we figured out where he got this from? (A reminder that it's astounding that the obvious answer isn't "Following a meeting with the relevant agency heads.")

I love it when people can put their differences aside & agree despite the fact that there are so many things that try to divide us. It is incredibly dangerous to underestimate our enemies and discredit our DOJ while disrespecting our allies & our history.

One trouble we face in debating against irresponsible opponents of climate policy is that the longer they prolong the delay, the bigger the policy effort we have to ask for to achieve a given result.
We aren't radicalizing. The constraints of reality are deteriorating.
