Also, before anyone brings up The Know Way, I want to make something clear: having individual content is not the same as having an individual career. The Know Way is something Lee Know wanted to prepare for fans, a space where he could share his interests, hobbies, and things he enjoys. It isn’t music promotion, nor does it replace opportunities to develop his career as an individual artist. And please, let’s not reduce this conversation to “if he wanted to release music, he would have.” That’s such an oversimplification of how the industry works. A solo release requires planning, production, resources, creative direction, scheduling, and, most importantly, company support. It’s not something an artist can simply decide to put out independently whenever they feel like it. The point is that DIV had years to create opportunities for Lee Know outside group activities. Solo music, collaborations, OSTs, acting, individual variety appearances, brand opportunities, or any other projects that could have helped establish his individual identity and career. These aren’t unreasonable expectations for an artist who has been in the industry for years.
