An interesting look into my life with autism and social anxiety is that today I had a day off work and was planning to go get a haircut. Woke up, was too scared to leave the house. Got a craving for strawberries. I’m now leaving the house for said strawberries. Priorities.
I spotted this near my office in Glasgow a few days ago, and it’s absolutely horrific. Scotland is not immune to racism. We each need to take a stand in tackling this issue, and showing that the groups that share these messages will not succeed in dividing us.

I have never been so angry. This leaflet is being put through letter boxes in Dumbarton. It is blatantly racist. Make no mistake this is a deliberate attack on Gurpreet Singh Johal, someone I am proud to call my friend, and the Labour candidate in the council elections 1/3

Definitely Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. An interesting fantasy world disguising a wonderful gay romance that honestly tore my heart out. No bigotry storyline, just LGBT wizards being magic and in love. And also a super cool villain that I did not expect.

As many of you may already know, I have recently made the big step of coming out as non-binary. The support has been overwhelming. I now go by Anders, and use they/them pronouns. I want to especially thank all my fellow MSYPs and the SYP staff for being so supportive!

Proud to vote for this groundbreaking legislation, making Scotland the first country in the world to provide free period products for all who need them. An important policy for women and girls. Well done to @MonicaLennon7 @ClydesdAileen and all who worked to make it happen

It's been an absolute honour to help out with this wee project. It felt really nice to bring the Gaelic language to a forefront. And, if anyone says any of the pronunciations werent quite right, or i chose the wrong form of a noun, sorry 😳 im still a learner haha

Replying to @CME_SYP
(Part 3) We would also like to thank @kimberleyMSYP for translating all of the words we used! She’s done such an amazing work! Check out her tiktoks coming out soon!✨

Fun fact: When doing the translation, I thought it would be more interesting to add '-tànaiste' to specify "board of trustees". So the direct translation is the 'board of trustees'!

Yesterday was the second day of SYP from A to Z!✨ 🧡If you guessed that the word “bòrd-tànaiste” meant BOARD you’d be correct!🧡 Read more about what the Board is and what do they do in few brief sentences! ✨
If you guessed that yesterday’s Gaelic word was BOARD then you’d be correct! Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament elect a group of Trustees each year during their Annual General Meeting. The Board are members who are the face of SYP and who speak on behalf of the membership when necessary. They make the bigger more important decisions when it comes to the organisation, and are seen as role models to other MSYPs. Each of the, handling a different portfolio and a region that they’ll be in charge of. The Board consists of a Chair, a Vice Chair, 4 Trustees and a Convenor Trustee who’s elected by the Convenors Group.

✨Today is the second day of the ‘SYP from A to Z’ in Scots Gaelic✨ We’d like you to comment on what you think is the right English translation! We love hearing from you! Could the word mean Brilliant? Or perhaps By-Law? Or even maybe Board? Take a guess! 🧡
What English translation could it be? “Bòrd-tànaiste” (bord-tah-nash-tih) By-Law Brilliant Board Culture and Media Committee Scots Gaelic A to Z of the Scottish Youth Parliament

Hello everyone, long time no see. As MSYP, I want to voice my support to everyone during this time. I know, for me at least, this is an incredibly tough time. I think we're all struggling a bit, so just to spread some joy, what's one thing that's been cheering you up in lockdown?

I personally have watched Hot Fuzz about four times. Films have been a massive help, honestly.
An amazing opportunity today for me and Rowen to do our presentation about the role and work of @HYouthPar to the wonderful councillors in the CLH committee. I'm incredibly grateful to be so heard and let decision makers know how important youth involvement is in HC.

I also got to briefly mention the links between our work as HYP and the Highland MSYPs work. I'm incredibly grateful for every opportunity and am ever aware of how closely they all tie together. I wouldn't be where I was without @HYouthPar and @HLHYouthWork!
