It's been 1,465 days since the Magpies played at home in the FA Cup (excluding replays)... no, we're not joking. ๐ฐ
The good news is that our streak of away ties is now over, and we'll host Worcester City in a couple of weeks. Happy with that, Maggies?

Minimum wage was ยฃ5.00 in 2005, & a first class stamp was 32pย
ย
One hour of work got you 15 first class stamp
Now in 2025, minimum wage is ยฃ12.21 & a 1st class stamp is ยฃ1.35โจ
Now one hour of work will only get you 9 1st class stampsย
Thatโs a 321% rise in stamps but only 142% rise in payย
If wages had kept up with the price of stamps, the minimum wage would be ยฃ16.05 an hour
This is NOT just inflation, this is worse. The economy is ruined in the U.K. โจโจThis is about much more than stamps. Food, electricity, travel are all similarโจโจThe hard working people are struggling to survive because costs are soaring far quicker than wages
Something needs to change, but will it? โจโจIs this why so many people are leaving the U.K.?

This year the club will be opening its doors from 12pm-3pm on Christmas Day for anyone who would like to call in.โจย โจAlthough Christmas is a time for cheer and family, at Chorley FC we know that not everyoneโs situation is the same. โจย โจIt is estimated that 4% of people spend Christmas on their own, and although some of this is by choice, a high percentage isnโt. โจโจWhat can we do at Chorley FC?
Well we can open the doors, put the heating on, boil the kettle, and ensure the beer (or wine) Is cold for anyone who wants to come and join us.
โจMince Pies and other unhealthy snacks will be in abundance. So please donโt leave them to the staff. โจโจAnybody is welcome, whether your home alone or want to get out of the house with the family for a couple of hours. โจโจUp the Magpies!
