Very happy to be part of this paper, led by Camila Lorenz. The data obtained in this research indicate that the significant exposure to PM2.5 from wildfires in the Pantanal has played a role in the increase in hospitalisations for COVID-19.

Happy to give a talk & meet so many new good people @ #UFMS. Blessed with a wonderful countryside & wildlife, Mato Grosso do Sul has been rapidly blitzkrieged by export croplands & becoming one of the largest tropical breadbaskets. Learning a huge amount here in just a few days.

Clearly illustrate the potential value and importance of considering the sustainability of game hunting (by traditional populations) within the REDD+ political process, at both the national and international levels.
