We’re way behind Bournemouth and Brighton.
Great this. Embarrassment FC for the World to laugh at AGAIN
'Everton go into the season now with 18 outfield players.
'One is unfit (Christian Norgaard arrived injured from Arsenal), one is disillusioned (Jake O’Brien). They have one right-back, one left-back with no back-up (Adam Aznou was allowed to join Malaga on loan) and Thierno Barry is their only recognised striker.'
Summing up a disasterclass of a transfer window, @DKingTelegraph reports that many fans view the club's actions as negligence ⤵️

At the very least, Everton owe their frustrated fans some form of explanation for that chaotic, embarrassing and deeply disappointing transfer window. Yes, Jack’s back and Maitland-Niles is in (and earlier Hackney+). But The Friedkin Group, the club’s CEO Angus Kinnear and the recruitment committee owe it to fans - the lifeblood of the club - to justify/clarify/apologise for a situation which saw Balogun not sign, a star like Ndiaye leave, Beto go, Armstrong almost sold, and failed late attempts for Kirkzee, Abraham and Tete (nb also reluctance from their clubs).
Were they hoping for the Armstrong money to get players in? Or was it simply poor organisation, leaving things late? Everton look incredibly short of quality and numbers in attack and at full-back. So much to admire about Everton - manager, fanbase, stadium, academy, players like Pickford, Branthwaite, Garner, Dewsbury-Hall, Armstrong etc. But that was a poorly-handled transfer window and Everton fans have every right to be frustrated. #EFC
📢📢 - 1878s STATEMENT - 📢📢
We thought the potential sale of our biggest young talent was bad enough, but the last 24 hours has topped that.
On Saturday Moyes said "I don't think we can afford to lose any players, we need to stay as strong as we can” - Since then we have lost another 5 players (3 of them who have left play in areas we needed to strengthen in) and only brought 2 in.
To leave us with no back up full backs and just one striker is full on gross negligence, not forgetting we also lost one of our best players at an under valued price in today’s market in the process without replacing him too.
We stated on Sunday that we do not feel that our fanbase’s ambitions and the club’s ambitions align right now - what happened yesterday has proved that even more.
As a group we will still be standing down for the foreseeable future and will not be dedicating a huge amount of our own time to put together the displays that we do that try and generate the best pre match atmosphere possible.
To be clear, this is nothing against the signings we have made, we welcome them to the club and wish them the best of luck here.
However, like the rest of our fanbase, we are utterly disappointed and disgusted with how this transfer window has gone, especially the end of it.
Also for fans asking, just to reiterate - When we design flags, there are rules and regulations that we have to adhere to regarding the wording on our flags during displays, we are not allowed derogatory or offensive wording or images.
If we were able to get a load of flags in the ground to show our feelings of discontent, disappointment & anger over this whole situation, believe us, we would, but this is something that simply wouldn’t be allowed.
Despite how we all feel we still urge fans to get behind our team on the pitch for 90 mins like we did at Bournemouth on Saturday.
We will fully support any action the fanbase takes in reaction to this extremely poor transfer window.
OUR MOTTO IS THE STANDARD WE EXPECT!

Time for all fan groups and fans to get together and demand answers/ change.
Every single group, big or small.
It’s time to stick together and get these clowns out!!!
Wtf is this lad on. Talking shite here.
James Tarkowski is a proper leader and has been one of the few constants for Everton...
He has been brilliant for us...
and without him god knows where we would be...
Same with David Moyes...
he’s given this club a lot more than some want to admit...
We seem to have forgotten that Howard Kendall was under serious pressure before he delivered our greatest era...
Loyalty and patience used to mean something...
They’ve applied to make the holding area bigger. Still be lined up like cattle. No difference
Replying to @tonymc39
Just goes to show they don’t communicate with Moyes. Great way to run a club
David Moyes on @friedkingroup’s view that last season was a failure: “I’m surprised they were disappointed because I don’t think anybody set out, there was never ever any time that anybody ever said to me ‘David you have to make Europe or in and around the top end’.
Tin pot club. Match day is just a social now. Can’t say I’m looking forward to this season
Everton sources have indicated that they are prepared to play the waiting game for the “ideal” candidate to fill the right-back position [@MsiDouglas]
