Adani’s Mumbai Airport pushes at least 11 Gulf carriers out of T2 starting Summer 2027
Mumbai airport operator MIAL has told 11 Gulf and West Asian carriers that it will be unable to accommodate their requested slots at Terminal 2 from the Summer 2027 schedule
This means these airlines will effectively have to shift the affected operations out of Mumbai’s T2 starting Summer 2027
The carriers include
👇👇
Air Arabia
Gulf Air
Kuwait Airways
Oman Air, Saudia
Qatar Airways
Riyadh Air
Jazeera Airways
SalamAir
Flyadeal
Flynas
The development follows MIAL’s October 30 proposal to the Civil Aviation Ministry that all airlines serving 14 international destinations, where Indian carriers have agreed to relocate some flights, should operate from Navi Mumbai airport
Airline sources say airport operator has approved summer schedule slots for all the remaining foreign carriers
Airline representatives allege that MIAL is taking a unilateral decision, bypassing the government’s slot allocation framework and IATA’s Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines
