I have said before that the moment these groups synergise and bandit and militia groups, either for expediency or some other practical reason decide to join with IS elements Nigeria will have a much bigger headache to deal with. Jihadists have long sought to bring all of these groups together for one common purpose and there has so far not been much cross over. But the longer the Nigerian state continues in its irresponsible and sometimes complicit behaviour the more likely this will be.

Miye unhwanin haka? Terrorists have come from every religious sect, every community almost every ward of our society, regardless of what you identify with. Perhaps what would have been useful is a concerted effort to collectively denounce and reject such behaviour.
