Our next 'Minus One' guest @spc_india, heralded the Indian e-commerce revolution, changed the way customers shop, and built the infrastructure that unleashed the Indian startup wave!
He was also an instrumental force behind @spc India and our mission here. @binnybansal has always believed in the ambition of our builders, and their global maxima. As a lifelong builder, leader and innovator - he is the archetype.
Stoked to be hosting him on home ground, on 29th Oct!
Approval required, very limited seats. Link in comments.

Amazing milestone! Almost ready for launch š
Nine months ago, this did not exist.
Today, India can build its own Fast Steering Mirror. QOSMICās FSM has cleared thermal vacuum and vibration qualification, both on the first attempt.
The FSM is the fine-pointing core of every optical link: satellite to ground, satellite to satellite, ground to ground. It holds a laser locked on target while everything around it moves, making hundreds of tiny corrections every second.
To put that precision in perspective: lay a grid over Rashtrapati Bhavan. From 500 km above your head, our FSM is designed to point a laser link at any single point on it.
Only two or three suppliers worldwide build this class of hardware. So we built ours.
From nothing to space-qualified in under a year.
Built to survive launch. Now it waits for one š

What does it actually take to go from -1 to IPO in India?
Next week, @nandanreddy joins us at @spc_india to share where food delivery started and how Swiggy got from -1 to IPO. Expect some solid lessons and stories in this one
Very few people in the world, know what it takes toĀ take a company from '-1' to IPO.
My next Minus One guest at South Park Commons Bangalore, does.
He happensĀ to be a current @spc_india community member, and the co-founder of Swiggy @nandanreddy
He co-founded Swiggy with Sriharsha Majety and Rahul Jaimini, spent more than a decade there, took it through a public listing in 2024, and most recently led Crew, its AI concierge.
Swiggy is a verb, if there ever was one, in the Indian ecosystem. I have lost count of how many times most of us use the word 'Swiggy it' in a day! And the journey to get there, is a real lesson on how to build something indispensable and undeniable, for all of Bharat.
Can't wait to dig into his learnings in our chat, and also spend some time talking about our shared love of books, and certain kinds of content!
RSVP on link below.
Congrats to @reachpuneet @sanjayiitd and the whole Moneyview team on this amazing milestone! Was an honor to be there yesterday with the Moneyview team
I have known both Sanjay Aggarwal and Puneet Agarwal for a while.
@sanjayiitd, I knew earlier as a runner and an entrepreneur that I would go to for advice, as I was building my own startup. I was introduced to @reachpuneet because of Sanjay.
We tried collaborating multiple times, but for some reason or the other, we could never formally get into a business collaboration. We tried doing it when I was building Upwardly, and then later at Scripbox, then again a little down the line at Angel One.
Times change. But across all these interactions, I was consistently amazed at their quality of inputs, strategic clarity, and the force of their vision and conviction!
In an interesting turn of events, when I joined @spc, I realised that we are on the Moneyvew cap table! So, us orbiting each other in the ecosystem, did converge at an unexpected (but well-aligned) point.
Theirs has been an interesting story, 12 years in the making. To become one of the largest consumer credit platforms in India is nothing short of amazing. It is a hard market, and only the real ones survive. It has taken a lot of endurance and creativity for them to get hereā¦and it shows us that the good guys can win big!
Hereās to the next chapter of this incredibly inspiring story. Congratulations to Puneet, Sanjay and the Moneyview team, on the historic IPO!
Notes from the āFounder Mindsetā talk I give at every @spc Founder Fellowship kickoff.
I updated it more for this cohort than ever before because this window is like no other.
Notes from š¬:
Youāre in the arena at one of the most extraordinary moments in history. Windows like this are rare, and they donāt last forever. Be maximally ambitious. Make it count.
The 6 founder mindsets I spoke about:
1. Epistemic humility & audacious courage. Learn aggressively, question your assumptions, then find the courage to commit with imperfect information.
2. Demand deltas. Every day, leave with a new learning, a new idea, or a sharper narrative.
3. Donāt negotiate against yourself. Donāt compromise the ask. Let someone else tell you no.
4. Be talent greedy. Always be pulling exceptional people into your orbit.
5. Always be selling. Every conversation is a rep. Practice creating belief before thereās proof.
6. The energy comes from you. You set the pace, urgency, and ambition.
The ask: Lean into the @spc community. Be vulnerable, ask for help, and let the people around you compound your ambition.
Kicking off our latest @spc cohort of frontier builders.
An extraordinarily talented and inspiring group working across computational biology, model alignment, AI quantization, aerospace, manufacturing, and more.
Theyāre starting companies at the most consequential moment Iāve lived through. What a time to build.
Let's get to work.

Replying to @LongshotSpace
@LongshotSpace is building a cannon that launches payloads to orbit.
SPC members spent an afternoon at their facility.
Welcome to the future of space launch.
This one was solid @snsf
Much has been said about cybersecurity, alignment and responsible building. As the technology moves underneath us, more will be said!
None of us have clairvoyant certainty about the future.
What we do know, is that it'll be like nothing we've seen before. That's why we need people like @snsf sharing their beliefs, and view of what is critical!
Really enjoyed having him at @spc_india to talk about all this, and why building the right thing, matters now more than ever!
Full Minus One episode is out now, shared below.

Launching Egma - OSS simulation testing for voice agents
We've deployed voice agents in regulated industries ourselves & spent hours manually testing on every push.
Existing vendors charge an insane 5-20X premium on inference. Egma lets you bring your own API keys.

Congratulations COSMIC. This technology development is critical for the nation to achieve high throughput communication from future constellations and for secured communication networks. Good example of academy-industry collaborative research.

QOSMIC has been granted a US patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. We've been working toward this for just under a year, and it's a proud day for the whole team.
For decades, optical ground stations have been built around one assumption: if you want to collect more light from a satellite, you need a bigger telescope. Past a point, that stopped making sense.
Our optical ground station uses an array of phased telescopes acting as one aperture. It's the architecture behind ARGUS, and it turns a ground station from a fixed piece of infrastructure into something modular, that scales with the constellation it serves. Both uplink and downlink.
Why this matters now: as satellite data moves from radio to light, the ground has to keep up. The constellations going up need far more data brought down, faster and more efficiently than today's stations can manage. This patent embodies the core of how we solve that.
The ground stations of the next era won't look like the ones we have today. This is just the start, and we're moving fast.

A year ago this was three people and a claim nobody wanted to fund. Today we have our first granted US patent.
The claim was simple. Astronomy spent a century teaching optics to make pictures. Downlink does not need a picture, it needs photons. Treat light as a signal and the entire cost curve of a ground station changes: many small apertures instead of one giant mirror, with the pointing and tracking doing the hard work.
That patent is the first brick in the Optical Highway to the Cosmos. Here is to many more contrarian bets in science and engineering.

Weāre excited to share that @nuance_ai has raised a $50M Series A led by @lightspeedvp, joined by @Accel, @spc, @nvidia, and @definevc!
Much of human communication happens beyond words. Before we can speak, we learn to read faces, return smiles, follow gestures, and sense when someone is listening. That visual and emotional vocabulary stays with us for life.
At Nuance Labs, weāre building a foundation model that understands and responds to the full spectrum of human emotion. A single full-duplex audio-visual model that sees, listens, and responds in real time, with the natural give-and-take of a conversation with a friend or colleague.
We believe the best interface with a machine is the one weāve practiced since birth.
