Replying to @TroncheBiais
A friendly reminder that despite its sketchy appearance, bookmyname.com is still the best place to buy domain names. It’s fast, cheap and owned by @Scaleway parent company.

Remember when naïve hackers were called script kiddies?
What would be the equivalent designation for folks who think they are AI experts after a couple hours of LLM prompt engineering?
Prompt kiddies?
I created a simple TCP wrapper around ChatGPT API (gpt-4) and prompted it to act as a fully functional IRC server with fictitious users.
I can connect using my favorite IRC client and enjoy chatting in fictional communities. 👇
There is absolutely no custom logic in the server. It's all made up from GPT. It even created functional IRC services capable of executing moderation commands (see !op & !kick)

The more I look at @edgedatabase the more I find it incredible and beautiful. Probably the most exciting piece of technology I've seen since a long time 🤯
CSS's "content-visibility" is probably the biggest deal for performance. Turning it on appropriately can help your web app move to a native like 60fps experience.

Google top results are more and more plagued with automatically translated/rebranded Stack Overflow results, fake blog post and generated GPT-3 content to the points it has become barely usable.
I wonder whether this is a kind of place where you stand in line waiting for your coffee or if they call you back once it's ready. xitter.gq/antcatel/status/147550…

Congratulations to Aho and Ullman, who propelled the development of the compiler field and touched many of us with their work and writing. The dragon book cover art also inspired the next generation of dragons in the LLVM community! 🐉🐉
Columbia's Al Aho & Stanford's Jeffrey Ullman receive the 2020 #ACMTuringAward for fundamental algorithms and theory underlying programming language implementation & for synthesizing these results in their highly influential books. bit.ly/3rxr1LT @CUSEAS @StanfordEng
