I've always worried that leaning so hard into this likely ADHD diagnosis made me feel like I was jumping on a dangerous bandwagon. It's not. Especially as a black and brown person, we are the first generation in our families to address our mental illnesses. So yeah I'm loud.

Having ADHD hasn't become trendy. Due to increased awareness, more and more people who spent all their lives thinking they're "not normal" are learning there is a name for their experience. They're finding places and communities where they belong and feel understood.
