β¨COMM SHEETβ¨
New and improved sheet is here! Everything you might want to know is written on it, and if you have any more questions, of course just comment on here or shoot me a DM.
no, no, it's alright, i guess i just really thought we'd all spend these weeks without ao3 on finding new creative ways to show fic writers appreciation for their craft instead of inventing different discourse shitting on them every six hours, but it's cool, really

you can't respect translators' wishes, you can't respect artists' wishes, you can't respect fic writers' wishes what even can you people do ππ

heartbreaking: reader who doesn't contribute anything to the fandom threatens to stop reading an author's fics because they seriously believe that the lack of their passive interaction with fan content will "punish" said author
woke up thinking about yanyan π it's so cold here already, so i need li yanqiu all bundled up in a coat, and him and zheng yan are taking a winter stroll through the woods
at some point i'll get my energy back to doodle, november is so dark already... lights out at 4pm. body is adjusting π but it constantly feels like bedtime
this is genuinely so evil and despicable. you people really don't deserve anything

You guys don't want fandoms. You guys want faceless content pumping machines. You guys want fellow fans to be like ai, there only to deliver fanfiction to you and nothing else. You only care about what you can consume, the humans behind the fics you claim to love are a burden.

It's genuinely baffling to watch people have breakdowns over not being able to read fics for a couple of weeks and then in the same breath turn around and say those writers don't deserve any kudos or compliments for their work.

"Don't repost my art" and "Don't reupload my fic" are the same thing, I'm confused as to why people are surprised that authors are defensive and protective of their works the same way artists are.
people who don't contribute anything to the fandom (don't create artwork, fics, or support writers and artists) do not deserve to have an opinion on how the work is shared, and at this point don't even deserve the access to any of it. this will kill all fandoms.

can we go back to engaging with fanworks because we appreciate people making them? π«©
I'm tired of "icks" and "what do you hate most in fics/fanart", "oomfs, is it okay to ship XY??", "how to take kudos back so people don't see my name-"
you're all performative and annoying

itβs always the people who contribute absolutely nothing but negativity in fandom being loud & wrong. you donβt write, you donβt make art, yet you open your mouth to tell us how to feel & what to do. shut the hell up with your βyou shouldnβt care about kudos/likesβ

I don't mind people sharing my stories (most of my short svsss, xicheng and yuwu are on twitter as threadfics) and will send them to those who ask. However, I stopped using gdocs bc of AI scraping, so please be mindful of that.

i really don't think we should be mass-sharing epubs of fanfic, man. even though it's public, it just seems rude and inconsiderate to take the distribution away from writers like that. go to your favourite authors' social medias and politely ask if they'd be willing to share.
my engagement anniversary is on halloween, so we are about to go full romantic and spooky tonight π
